Bray was good. He just didn't have the right people leading him around. He also didn't have any threat of competition. Bray with 3 yrs under Butch is probably a lot different kid mentally than 3 under Dooley. The mental game and study habits were his problem. Of course he may also not have made it very long under Butch either if he didn't do those things like Riley chose not to.

Now this argument is heading in the right direction. College kids naturally slip up and need good guidance around then, a la Cutcliffe and Ainge. I'm glad that point was brought up, because Bray had a better arm than any qb at UT in the last 15 years. If Cut would have been able to guide this young man and we had a competent staff around him he would have won a lot of games here and had all the tools to make a run at the Heisman.

Sad to think what could have been with many players under Dooleys watch.

Dooley humiliated the players in the media. I doubt he was an Ephesian 4:29 kind of man either.

He would tear you down, tell you he's growing bamboo, not teach you how to play football, forget to water the bamboo, gel his hair, and then usher a witty quip to someone with a camera.

God this is so true. That 2011 team could have been special with a competent head coach. The 2012 team could have too but I'm wondering how much was sunseri and how much was it being awful players and speed.

Man there's a lot of back foot lobs on his film. Also seems slow to get his feet set to throw. That said, you can tell his arm strength and accuracy are on point. Running ability seemed about average.

Bray with this year's team would be... comical. The QB with the 5.4 40 yd dash scrambling for his life behind this OL. Wait... He would've had to sit the bench for illegal benefits and could've costed us scholarships or forfeited games had he played another down for us.

and all of our QBs this year would have been comical in Chaney's offense. None have the passing skills that Bray had .
