'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

I would respond to all the guys that are star struck by Gibson in this thread but I promised Freak's alt I wouldn't. And I was planning on setting them straight too.

I'm in Knoxville this weekend with my girl and am going to try to get eyes on the camp. If I'm able to see anything I'll tell you how some of the guys look (Dormady stayed for today didn't he? Recent news has me confused on that point).

He is staying through tomorrow.

You're making fun of David Cornwell? You do realize CBJ wanted him very badly don't you? You do realize that he is better than any QB we have right? Good Lord man I would have loved to have Cornwell starting for us this year.

Didn't realize Cornwell had played a college game to show how good he is. Must have missed those games.

I hope it doesn't lead to beating big timers off.
If that happens, I'm going to Get my Roll On, so I can Still Fly away and give the #1 Stunna to the Birdman.

It's never good when you have to beat off big timers. Their hos obviously aren't doing their job.

This kid is the real deal. Redshirt, backup Dobbs Sr year and then this team is his for 2-3 years.

I don't post on here much.. but wouldn't you think that the kid would fit better into more of a bama scheme than he would ours right now? Just seems like he would bring the same thing that Worley does to the read offense that Bajakian is wanting to run..

I think being able to accurately deliver the football from the pocket is about 90% of what Bajakian needs his QB to do. The other 10% is being willing to pull the ball on the read option to get 5-7 yds (or obviously more if it's there) 4-5 times a game to keep defenses honest and keep drives alive. Looks to me that Dormady could be that guy. I'd much rather have an accurate passer and good decision-maker than a kid who's not as strong from the pocket but runs 4.5. Jmo.

If he is the real deal then he won't back up Dobbs for even a single game.

Live when posters think a QB that should have redshirted struggles with no playmakers that he will never be good. Idiots. Johnny football, Cam Newton and Tim tebow didn't even start their true freshman year. There is a reason for that.

I wasn't trying to give Dobbs a hard time...It's true that he didn't get much help last year - the Josh Smith drop vs Mizzou immediately comes to mind...

Don't be in such a hurry to be right...Dobbs might never be better than a quality backup... But he might he special...that'll bear out this season.

We have made a good impression this weekend and some serious momentum has been made from what I heard. Let's hope that means we're ahead of Bama.

Nice I was starting to feel good considering he stayed two extra days and called off the rest of the trip

I didn't realize dobbs only played 2 years of varsity football in high school. So he could have a lot of room to grow.

Agreed...I think Dobbs is gonna surprise some people

Agree with you. The knuckleheads on here that want to label Dobbs a bust after his true freshman year, playing the teams he played against (Bama, Auburn, Missouri) with virtually no one to throw to (no TE, no North in half his games) makes me wanna kill a small animal. I think he has much room to grow and will prove to be a very good SEC QB when it's all said and done.
