'15 TX QB Quinten Dormady (UT Commit 6/9/14)

Agree with you. The knuckleheads on here that want to label Dobbs a bust after his true freshman year, playing the teams he played against (Bama, Auburn, Missouri) with virtually no one to throw to (no TE, no North in half his games) makes me wanna kill a small animal. I think he has much room to grow and will prove to be a very good SEC QB when it's all said and done.
Me too

If he is the real deal then he won't back up Dobbs for even a single game.

Not sure we have enough information on Dobbs to make this kind of statement. Forced to play as a TF with an offense void of significant playmakers at skill positions and lineman better suited to a different style, didn't exactly give Dobbs much chance for success. I think with the new talent coming on board, we will see a more productive offense no matter who starts at QB. Give Dobbs the opportunity to grow and he could be the real deal. IMO, it's way too early to throw Dobbs to the curb for the latest "hot" HS recruit.

Wow I just now looked at his rivals profile & realized he was white..I thought he was black this whole time lulz.

No racial.

Looking forward to some kind of QB commitment. This thread, though...

I doubt it will be dormant long. In fact, it could end up being one of the bigger threads soon.

I sure hope you are right. I would love to help him write his R.S.V.P. to Lane Kiffin and the Crimson Tide faithful. In fact, I could probably make it in two words, unless I would have to mention something about the horse.

Lol...well done :hi:

“I couldn’t tell you (when I will decide),” said Dormady, who’s ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 174 overall prospect and No. 5 pro-style quarterback in the 2015 class. “We had visits planned, but, as of right now, those are on hold. I could make a decision pretty quick, but we’ll see.

“There’s definitely some more thought to go into it. But the game’s so sped up for this position. … Right now, I’m focusing on those two.”

The 6-foot-4, 208-pound Dormady visited Tennessee for the first time in March, and he said he enjoyed taking another look at the Vols after he received a scholarship offer from them May 28.

“It was a school that I was interested in, so we just decided to bump (the visit) up since it was closer than having to go back home (from Alabama) and then drive there. It was only about a five-hour drive up there,” he said.

“I really liked the place. There’s definitely things to like, as far as that goes, and things that they’re doing here in the future. I enjoyed my visit there. It was good to get back up there. It’s a beautiful place, and (there are) lots of things to like about it.”

Dormady said he talked plenty with Tennessee coachButch Jones, offensive coordinator*Mike Bajakian*and some of the Vols’ current players while he was on campus.

“It was mostly just hanging out and looking at the stuff that has been updated since I was there and just kind of getting a feel for the place again,” Dormady said. “I spent a lot of time with both (Jones and Bajakian) just talking and (discussing) the plans that are in my future.

“We talked quite a bit. I have had a lot of time there, so I didn’t have to see a whole lot. We sat down quite a bit and just got to talk about stuff. I feel like I fit their system.”

Alabama stands out to Dormady for some of the same reasons he likes Tennessee.

“They’ve got similar stuff to Tennessee,” he said. “The two programs are very similar, as far as facilities and all that goes, and both (have) great coaching staffs. There’s just nit-picky things that you’ve got to kind of look at to try to figure out where I’m going to end up for the next four or five years. It’s definitely not an easy decision.”

But he might be ready to make it before long.

“Right now, I would say, of course, it could be a couple weeks,” Dormady said. “But who knows? You’ve kind of got to go with the game here and make the decision that’s best for my future. And if that’s making a decision this week, then it is. If it’s waiting, then I’ll wait.

“It could be tomorrow. It could be in a couple weeks. We’ll see how I feel and whenever I get the right feeling and go from there.
