From what was actually reported it was just the makeup of his team why he played wr in 7 on 7. The Rivals guys said the camps didn't matter and the film shows ability and his play on the field shows it also. Basing what type of player he is off of camps is as dumb as basing everything off the NFL combine. Sure some look good in shorts but what can you do on the field vs top competition?

I just hope Q is quick enough to get out of protection if there's penetration in the backfield. I admit I wanted Gibson bad though .

LV, most reasonable fas understand that in taking 3 QBs we lose out on some top players at other positions and then muddy up recruiting for 2016 QB recruits.

We got our QBs in this class and both bring different but solid talent to the fold. We are not going to be running Auburn's option offense. We operate a spread offense with west coast passing principles.

Dormady got his offer from Tennessee about a week before the camp and he made it in and was actually not even slated to show up. He is now a Tennessee commitment. Imagine that. A little bit of "want to".

Or maybe a little bit of more funds for a plane trip or parents who could get off from work to take him. Some kids travel the world with their families while some never leave the county they live in. Every one doesn't have the same resources. Maybe its as simple as he is 17 and couldn't get an adult who had three or four days off to take him back and forth and he couldn't afford a plane ticket. He has been here already. Dormady hadn't had he? Its expensive and hard to take multiple trips around the country.

I think it was brave of him to make it in after the performance part was over. :)

I do find it admirable your trying so hard to cover for the guy. Great job.

Yes, Dormady had visited Tennessee earlier.

Don't remember which it was, but one of the VQ guys suggested that TG had actively avoided camps, and one that we know he attended, he bailed out on QB and caught passes instead. If TG feels good about his QB skills, he sure has a funny way of showing it. QD on the other hand, gets an unplanned eval from Gruden and does well enough to get an enthusiastic endorsement. Again, nobody really knows TG's motives, but he really doesn't act like he wants to compete for a position. QD does. All in.

So are we for certain Gruden said something to CBJ that Dormady should be the guy? I thought coach's weren't suppose to talk about recruits.

If Gruden is working a camp with the Tennessee coaches, I'd imagine they might speak to/of the kids there a lil bit. A camp of only hand signals and facial expressions would be interesting.

The TG lust club says so. The sun won't rise and the rain won't fall unless we all bow down to Gibson. Who the hell needs receivers and running backs anyway when you can have the perfect do it all QB. Gonna be a lot of crow served one of these days.
Butch got who he wanted. And if not...he got the one that wanted us.

haha, it would be like watching a baseball game. But it just get's me excited thinking that Gruden thinks this should be our guy, so I just didn't want to believe the hype unless it's true.

That has not been reported at all. He spoke well of Doramady which is not the same thing.

"Jon Gruden apparently spoke highly of him, too, after seeing him work out."

He is a good prospect. No debating that.
