Can't believe there would be many programs that would hold a spot open for a QB til signing day on hopes he might sign with them. Unless it was like a Dooley led program that could not fill it's class regardless. competitive programs won't have that problem.

yeh he got moved up on ESPN to an 80 4-Star and No.12 Pocket Passer QB.

Should help his Composite on 247. When Rivals evaluates him it will surely go up again.

Which is why I expect for Quinten and his father to know exactly what UT plans to do with Jennings & Gibson(if they take him) before he EEs.

I am thinking the line with regard to cross thread commenting may have been breached here.

Edit: Its psychology 101. They create their "stawman" the "Gibson hater" and then come on over here and hate on QD.
VN deserves better. :clapping:

Man there are no rules, its complete anarchy, you go to Tuttles thread to hear about Settle, in settles you hear about Sweat, if you want info/conversation on Dormady go to Gibson's thread, here in Dormady you hear about Gibson. Richmonds thread to hear about wrestling/rastling and losing weight. In bruces thread you hear about rahming, in mckenzies thread you can find out about the future recruitment of his brother. You can find recruiting info in the football forum, game plan talk in the NCAA forum, if you want to hear about another school I suggest you stay in the recruiting forum. Also the unusually large amount of other team's fans have shown up all over VN making me think Freak has been lying to us. Speaking of Freak, our beloved ruler, he starts an off topic thread, which stays on topic most of the time, the numbers thread is now home to rational discussions on players. :) :dance2: :p :rock:

to further drive home the crazyness, people have started agreeing with LV, Bruin shows up and says something positive and Butchna is getting further away from his one liners and smilies that we know and love.

Then when Freak does some much needed cleaning threads seem to fall off until the next off topic conversation

This is why you've gotta to miss the Dooley years. At least then the June threads would raise a unanimous voice of concern over the dreadfully low number of signings. This Tower of Babel thing. I don't know. :dunno:

I think we are ok. IF the staff tries to get greedy and take Gibson as a 3rd QB, Would not be shocked at all to see TCU back in play.

Well they could wait till Dormady enrolled and if Gibson committed after he enrolled it wouldn't matter. But see Gibson at WR at UT when its said and done and Dormady slinging it to him.

I have mentioned I'd expect the Dormady's to discuss that very scenario with CBJ long before he ever EEs. Could they flat out lie? I suppose. I'd like to think they would be honest and IF all 3 will have a "shot" at QB, I don't like our chances of holding onto Dormady. IMO being the guy at QB for TCUs class will look too good to pass up. We'll see what happens. Maybe TCU takes another and then it's a non issue.

He is #5 pro style 4 star on 247 and now 4 star on ESPN and I think someone said scout as well but I bet you anything some dumb ass will be on here within next month talking how he is a two star on Rivals

This^^^^ Get him in and the rest works out...he's the best fit in this offense and will excel barring injury...the EE factor will give him an insurmountable head start unless Jennings also makes it in early...then win win. :yahoo:

TCU has loaded up with QBs. They have 3 sophomore QBs and an incoming freshman signed in the 2014 class. That is an awful lot f young QBs.

Still IMO much easier to sell a kid on being "the 1" in his class VS 1 of 3 in his class. JMO

Taking 3 is just not a common practice. Lots of folks on here complaining when a 2014 QB would not give UT a 2nd look after signing 2 in 2013. Sign 3 and see what happens.

Location may be a plus for TCU.

Their football stadium is tiny (not vandy tiny)
Cannot imagine facilities compare

They do have a nice baseball stadium. 3 big 12 teams in CWS (out of 8 teams)...my son just finished a baseall camp there.

There are some dandy Bs in the 2016 recruiting class and they could be swayed to UT after seeing our offense take off in the 2014 season and even the 2015 season. They all feel that they can beat out anyone, which is how most top players at the skill positions feels. However, when they see a long line of young QBs on a roster, they tend to avoid those programs. This is largely why Dormady passed on TCU and opted for the Vols.

A 3rd QB in a singing class would choke off any chance of getting one of of the top 2106 QBs. My belief is that you want to land a QB each recruiting season. However, you usually only end up with top QB recruit once every 2-3 seasons.
