Ray Ray is looking very good for us. He'll be at Clemson with Cain tonight and tomorrow for camp. He's expected to make his decision in a month at The Opening. Right now, I'd be surprised if that wasn't for Clemson. Interesting note, his friend and former 4* Tampa receiver Artavis Scott, also camped at our June camp last year before committing at The Opening a month later.

I also agree, no way we get all 3 of those guys. It appears we're in the best shape with Huggins and Settle, but it's tough to expect to get both. Based on everything we learned this weekend, I expect Tenn to land Jones and obviously Mckenzie. I'd probably still give the edge to UNC for Tuttle but haven't kept up with that one as well, considering we're essentially an afterthought. 4* DE Austin Bryant will be at camp all 3 days this weekend with his family, so that will be one to keep an eye on as well. Right now Clemson is likely to take 2 more DT's and 1 more DE.

Last week on another board I'm on a couple of guys from VA said Settle will not qualify. A Clemson guy posted about them leading, and one of the VA guys posted this:

Tim Settle's still not getting into school after this year. He's also a mixed bag...Just sayin' don't get invested in this one, probably not gonna be over for a few years.

Not sure if true, but both of the guys I have known online for a long time (one since 2000 and another since 2007). Besides being VT fans, they have been pretty reliable. Could be wrong, but thought I would post just in case.

Interesting. Maybe that is why we got Tuttle to visit again this weekend. Trying to make a push for him as the third DT.

I've heard this from a cousin on Clemson's staff as well as a friend from Manassas who I trust. Just hadn't really said anything because I didn't want to pass on any wrong info. Sure seems like there could be something to this though...at least something to keep an eye on imo. Thanks for sharing :hi:

I think there is some positivity surrounding shy with our staff (see SHY tweets). 40-50% chance he ends up with us. We still have to go after him very hard but I think he's been drinking the kool-aid ... err peanut butter

So grades were not a concern till he moved Clemson to #1?

Is it me or does this scenario play out quite often with our fans on here? :p

Grades are a concern, but I don't think it is a case at all where it's something that can't be turned around with a year still to go. Certainly something that Clemson or whoever he commits to will be keeping an eye on.

Nope the grades were a concern a week ago. I don't think that is why Clemson now leads, I just been told for the last week (even when I thought Tennessee led, because they was responding to me about him) that Settle has some grade issues.

They was just more blunt when a Clemson fan was talking about leading today

No need in being so condescending though is there? I've heard grade issues for a few weeks now. Vol Karma said he's heard it for a week and palmer even said there are grade concerns. Settle only announced Clemson leads yesterday so what does it matter when one shares info. I was waiting to hear if it was mentioned and if my info was accurate. My apologies if I went about it the wrong way in your eyes.
