'15 VA OT Austin Clark

nice run blocker but his footwork needs to be more polished. he might make a good right tackle but he is to stiff to be a left tackle.

I would like to see him against a good pass rusher.

"It was a great time. I've been here four times now but each and every time I have a great time," Clark said. "This was the first visit that my mom was on so she kind of got to see everything Tennessee had to offer and what it would be like if I ended up going here. That was probably the biggest difference in this visit."

"She said she had a great time. She got to meet all the coaches, got to meet coach Strip's wife. She said she had a great time," Clark said.

"Definitely just the fact that when I come here it feels like a home away from home and that I'm wanted by the coaches," Clark answered when asked why he was back in Knoxville for Saturday. "Not that I don't get that at other places, but Tennessee is a special place for me and it's definitely a place I like a lot. As long as they will have me back I will keep coming back for visits."

"No real favorites right now, but I'd definitely say Tennessee, Penn State, Clemson, Ohio State, Virginia and Virginia Tech are recruiting me the hardest right now," he offered.

Says he plans to narrow his list down to 4 or 5 in the summer and will decide before Christmas.

I might be making too much of this, but it's interesting that he always says Tennessee first. Indications?

He's not saying it but it's pretty clear UT is his #1. I remember a video interview of him on VQ awhile back, it was like he was selling VQ on being a Vol. His eyes lit up talking about UT.

Danny Parker said he is somewhat down the board with the number of quality linemen we are in on currently

hard to believe a top 70 player is down on the list. i mean duke shelley was one thing but clark seems like a take all day long

Down the board could mean OL wise or it could mean overall numbers wise. You can't take 5-6 OL guys just because of their * rating then not take any CB's or another position because you filled up on OL and don't have enough scholarships available to make it work.

I think Richmond is the guy they are waiting on and has a spot if he wants it. If he commits and more spots become available a few months from now IF some kids transfer or leave the program, maybe Clark is then a take.

i just feel like ol is a big priority in this class and everyone seems to think 5-6 is how many we take. if we get richmond we have 3 and i dont see how clark wouldnt be one of those 2-3 other if he wanted in. i know that u feel it will be a small class but im in the it will be a regular 25 man class crowd.

“It’s just the fact that when I come here I feel like it’s a home away from home,” Clark fires back immediately. “I just feel wanted here by the coaches. Not that I don’t get that other places, but Tennessee feels like a special place for me.”

His mom had a great time. Coaches told him to take visits. The coaches said that they know UT will "stack up with anybody," so they aren't worried about any visits he will take. Will release top schools in summer.

Clark said he hopes to head back to Knoxville to watch a spring practice. The specific date has not been set.

“As long as they’ll keep having me back, I’ll keep coming for visits,” Clark told IT.
