I believe he took the cash from when the Auburn guy visited him. That's when all the CB went to Auburn, they knew. He committed right then. Then the tweet over the weekend. He'd already committed. IMO

get tired of hearing this kid or that kid took cash. sounds like sour grapes and doesnt make us look good as a fan base. wish the kid well and move on.

There's a lot of things I get tired of hearing on this board too. But I don't mind others expressing their opinions. When you hang out with the most cheating program in the SEC those speculations are going to come up. Hang out with thieves you're branded as a thief. Did he take money? Who knows but the ones involved.

Look, this is more of an indictment on Auburn than it is the kid. I couldn't care less about the kid. Maybe he's a quality kid, I don't know him. But, we are ofer against Auburn on big high profile recruits. In the past maybe they had something going to sell while we were stinking it up. Now we're projecting up while they're trending down. They have a history of shady recruiting practices and whenever they get a big-time recruit I'll always suspect funny business went on regardless of the player.

Then log off. I choose not to censor myself because some debbie downer who brought negativity to every thread this last month has a problem with it. Not my fault you and others don't deal in reality.

Haven't gone through the last few hours, is Atlanta Vol saying anything? Is he still an insider not nah?

So just took off to head back to atl. Sorry I wasn't on hear earlier but lots of celebrating going on during my awesome day visit to ktown.

Here is what I can now reveal on the db situation. Yesterday afternoon db called Rocker (their dline coach) and told him to let Kirby know he was committing to Uga. From what I imunderstand db nor his family had direct contact with Kirby. This morning/late last evening apparently db (more likely his folks in my opinion) had a change of heart. One can only guess why he changed his mind. I don't know anyone associated with the au program so don't know their side of the story and can't confirm when db let them know or if even he told them the same thing the night before. I do know that we were well aware last night that we were out of the running....which was clearly my main concern.

Thanks for the info. I don't think we were ever a serious player with him.

I am simply a man who likes to share relevant information (while protecting our university and my friends involved in the uga program) when it makes sense.

I did go 5-1 with predictions and did so many months ago with my picks ...so take that for what it's worth. On brown I relayed the info I got from uga on the situTion and well he flipped....this place is about sharing Intel however so I gave u what I had at the time without exposing the people involved.
Go vols!

For the record, it turns out that the guy who had a ton of confidence that Brown was coming to UGA really knows his stuff. He said this morning, before they committed, that things had changed for the worst for Derrick Brown and E.J. Price. When I saw EJ commit to USC, I knew that he must know what he's talking about and things had changed with Brown. Price was really really considered a lock for UGA, when I saw his face before his announcement, I CLEARLY saw a young man that wasn't happy with the decision that he was about to make. Not that it really matters at this point, but I'm pretty confident that both of these guys had late changes with their decisions.

It's only 'for the record' when you make your information public in real time. This is what's known as an ex post facto excuse for circulating bad information.

This may be why Kirby Smart seems butt hurt and said he didn't like the whole hat flip stuff. He also said that he felt like guys that made their decision early in the recruiting possess and focused on preparing for the next level had more early success than guys that played the recruiting game.

Anybody that knows anything about recruiting knows that it's very fluid and what's true now might not be in an hour. All your info is appreciated.

Man, you brought good stuff for the entire recruiting season. And you got jumped for it quite a bit, too. Handled that with class from what I saw.

Thanks, bud. You made it more interesting. Stay safe in the skies.

AV,
Are you planning to come down to College Station when the Big Orange invades Aggie Land?

Hope you stick around the board, ATLVol. Nice to have you around this cycle.

Thanks for the well wishes. Already back home (nice quick hop). I appreciate the kind words. Getting jumped is understandable because in the end its the internet and people can be who they want and make stuff up and not pay a penalty for it...so I can see why people are always skeptical...I don't hold any grudges. Life is too short. :peace2:

Hope to see you around more this next cycle. I've enjoyed your insight.

Man that is a great question. I was just looking at the schedule today in fact while I was up in ktown trying to figure out the games I am going to attend while balancing a pretty hectic lifestyle/job/kids.

I have been to every SEC stadium except A/M and I haven't gotten the best of reviews of the experience but something tells me I need to just figure out a way to complete the cycle so i can mark off all the SEC stadiums as done and done.

That would actually be a good thread...everyones favorite and worst opposing teams stadiums in SEC and why...

Sorry for being a little abrasive.

Word is the kid had two LOIs. Even this morning they were in touch with staff. Mom wanted UGA and the Barn did their thing with him. Garner does what he does.
