Posters on TOS are saying something happened on his visit Friday night that wasn't kosher with the staff. That's what his tweet was about Friday night. This was what Butch referred to as all recruits weren't cultural fits. They basically didn't recruit him after his visit. Tifwiw. Don't shoot the messenger. :gone:

My last thoughts on the whole Derrick Brown saga is that Keith Niebuhr needs a butt-whoopin' for leaking his story early.

I wish the young man good luck. Just happy to see we had a shot at him. I'm happy with our class this year as we met our greatest needs but still goodluck to him in the future...unless we play them of course...I'm that case #GBO

On brown I relayed the info I got from uga on the situTion and well he flipped....this place is about sharing Intel however so I gave u what I had at the time without exposing the people involved.

Do you have proof of this, or is this just butthurt Georgia speculation?

I mean, UT fans would (and have) done it to, but this just seems very specific.

I'm not saying it didn't happen because I don't know but taking history into account if something like that did happen it would have been leaked here within a couple hours

Man that is a great question. I was just looking at the schedule today in fact while I was up in ktown trying to figure out the games I am going to attend while balancing a pretty hectic lifestyle/job/kids.

I have been to every SEC stadium except A/M and I haven't gotten the best of reviews of the experience but something tells me I need to just figure out a way to complete the cycle so i can mark off all the SEC stadiums as done and done.

That would actually be a good thread...everyones favorite and worst opposing teams stadiums in SEC and why...

I'm in Houston, so there are obviously a lot of Aggies around, including my next door neighbor. He's taken me to several games at Kyle Field, and I've always had a great time. Very friendly to visiting teams, even after a loss.

If you decide to come down, let me know.

There's a couple of people over on TOS that claim that something did happen on Friday and after Friday there was no way that DB was coming here. One supposedly insider is advising people to stop talking about it because it could bring negative pub to UT. One appears to claim he is a student. This was supposedly the reason for the cryptic tweet Saturday night. Evidently there were two cryptic tweets that were removed quickly. I had only heard about the one mentioned here. One was something about going down a dark path.

One poster claims there is a photo floating around showing DB hugging Pat Dye. TIFWIW

How could a photo of him hugging Pat Dye bring negative publicity for us? Or am I just missing something here...I just don't understand what the hell could have happened.

No that was unrelated to the alleged events of Friday. Sorry should have been more clear.

I gather they are separate events.

All I would like to hear is that he did something that turned us off and not the opposite. Don't really need to know details beyond that.

Roger that. I do wonder if it was something UT did directly or something he did while here. That would make a huge difference in public reaction if it came out.
