Seems pretty obvious to me that Dickerson likes UT more than UT likes him. I'm not sure where he is on the board, but I think we'd have to miss on more than 1 of our targets before he gets the green light.
Preciate your expert opinion on me. My buddy works for the department. He's on the field so he hears what players say and his friends in recruiting tell them whatever they can if they know anything. That's all.
Also i did not say Dickerson was in for sure. Just said that if the other big 3 recruits want in and he does too, then niehaus will be the casualty from dickerson getting in.
Without meeting with butch I can't see anyway he is a take at all. He didn't even get treated like a backup plan IMO
Maybe Butch knows he can get him whenever he wants and decided to devote resources elsewhere. Like you said, why even bring him in if he is never a take? I'm sure there is a scenario where he becomes a take. If we do get him, at least the star gazers will be happy, lol.

Well, let's assume that you want to be at least 2 deep at each position, that all freshman redshirt the first year to bulk up and that at least 1 every year leaves early for the pros. Then as we know some don't pan out to be as good as we thought they would be and some transfer out. Take all that into account and I think you need 4-5 OL coming in every year.
Or maybe Butch knows he is heavily leaning elsewhere and simply is not going to spend a lot of time and energy -- unless Dickerson calls after the visit and tells him different, which is why told the kid to call and stay in touch if he wanted to jump aboard the Big Orange Train.
