Hand shake goodbye?
Vq is 100% saying we didn't push for this kid. No doubt about it
The way I read it earlier Butch did meet with him for a few min. Not doubting that he was down of the priority list. I don't think he was down because of a lack of talent though. I think he was down because Butch didn't think the guy was seriously considering coming here. JMO
Since when is a 5 star offensive lineman a backup plan? It has to be that the staff has had strong signals that the kid aims to sign with FSU; otherwise, it wouldn't make sense not to put the full press on him. If I was convinced he was legit, and that we had a chance to sign him, he'd be a priority over a JUCO. What does Kongbo have--2 years of eligibility? Juco's are very much hit or miss--and often, miss. Wasn't Blair a top 5, Juco can't miss tackle? How'd that turn out, besides not even close?

Why isn't it possible the coaches don't see this guy as a 5 star?
Which recruit would you choose?
Robertson or Blair
We've got two potential stud DTs in Tuttle and KMac--and both young, plus a one or two veterans and a couple of others for depth, no? I thought out defensive line talent was better than our offensive line talent.

Just because a kid is rated 5* by some recruiting service, doesn't mean he is a 5* in the coaches eyes. CBJ has said more than once his staff's do not recruit based on stars, they recruit based on their own evaluations. Also, we need elite DB, DT, and DE more than OG with who we already committed this cycle. You do realize we lost both starting safeties this year, will likely lose two elite DT"s after their junior years, lost Kurt this year and will lose Barnett after next year? I swear some of you guys seem clueless as to reality lol.Since when is a 5 star offensive lineman a backup plan? "Landon Dickerson - As we've noted several times, this one has a weird feel to it. Dickerson's visit was a good one, but Alabama and FSU are both real options as well. What should be noted is that the next 24 hours could provide clarity on just where things stand with Tennessee and Dickerson. We believe the defensive side of the ball is taking priority over the offensive side of the ball down the stretch."

Butch visited Niehaus at his home. Butch didn't waste his time visiting Dickerson at his home leading up to NSD. Says a lot about what Butch thinks of these guys. Dickerson may decide he wants in. If he does, no way it's with the loss of Niehaus.
