'16 NC QB Austin Kendall (former UT commit)

I was selling Cokes in Neyland in 1976 so I could see the Vols without having to buy a ticket.

I sold cokes at Vandy stadium around the same time. Not a bad gig and the tips from the drunks made it a pretty dent payday!!

I got told to not come back after I did not sell a single coke so I could watch the UT game one year...lol

You're an Ole Miss fan obsessed with our obsessions...no one else to talk to lil champion? :cray:

LoL you are funny. I express that we have no shot at flipping a couple Ole Miss recruits and that make me a Rebel fan?

I have a BS and MS from two different SEC schools and believe me, neither is from Ole Miss.....

You have previous history bragging about Ole Miss recruiting....see Drew Richmond...kinda weird for a Vol lifer...just sayin.

If your claim is true, I'm guessing Vandy and Miss. State.

On Austin Kendall

Don't be surprised if there's movement there. We are told by folks in state, in the South and, honestly, other areas of the country that Kendall is still looking around at places, Kentucky among them, and also that the Vols also with limited numbers want to keep looking to ensure they get the best possible player and fit.

Jarrett Guarantano, for example, continues to have a strong relationship w/ the Vols. It's not just his dad's ties to Butch Jones; both parents have a strong rapport with Jones, and also Jarrett has hit it off well with new OC Mike DeBord. They spoke DeBord's first weekend on the job.

Sounds like staff is wanting to roll with JG over Kendall. At this point it may be best move if JG is willing to shut down recruitment as we know that AK will not close door on KY and others. I'm a big fan of AK though so that will sting. At least I really like JGs talent

Not sure we can make that conclusion just yet. Just said "don't be surprised if there is movement", which is kinda been what we've all been thinking already for a while.

You'd like to think that the highest rated player would be the best first choice, but after seeing how explosive the offense can be with a mobile QB...and remembering how frightening Auburn's O was with a weak-armed but highly mobile QB and a quality RB...It's clear that good wheels can greatly mitagate a bad arm. I would love to hear the staff's choice between a QB who's arm is a 10 and legs are a 7 vs a QB who's arm is a 7 and legs are a 10. I'm thinking the latter is more effective for the system.

And no...that wasn't intended to be an AK vs JG discussion...just curious what the staff's strength preferences are.

Please kindly point to where I ever bragged about Ole Miss recruiting? Is it a reading comprehension or memory problem?

Just sayin...lol

We've seen that CBJ will move on if it is in the best interests of the team. Kendall needs to be careful. He may lose the 1 and only QB spot in this class. Just don't know what he is thinking.

Sadly he has it set up here. dobbs is here two more years. he redshirts and beats out the other three and is a four year starter. Dormady is the only one of the three with a remote chance to beat him out. and thats slim. makes no sense.
