'16 NC RB BJ Emmons

Not getting a good feeling about RBs in this class with Emmons off the board and Holyfield looking more like a longshot.

It'll be so nice when Bama cycles down. They barely have to even recruit at this point.. Give the kid a commitable offer and he jumped on it.

Just committed to Bama.

WTF?

This kid is crazy talented but he seems kind of like a head case. First we are the favorites, then he commits to uga, then they stop talking to him cause of grades, then we pick back up again, then commits to bama, and watch all of a sudden no more grade concerns kids been a straight a student his whole life.

Don't disparage the kid because he decided to commit somewhere else. Show some class. What if he flips on NSD, and decides to sign with us? Will he still be a headcase?

Same here in terms of top targets. It is prob why VQ has been hinting at that other NC RB that camped or is camping...good thing it's a position that is easier to find a big impact player in that 2nd tier group and then 2017 has some guys in state.

Not looking great right now, but still plenty of time til' Signing Day. It's about to be full-court press on K-Walker, Holyfield, & Fils-Aime.

What's the plan if we strike out on those?

Maybe the staff will be able to land a fifth-year transfer as a stop-gap and then go all in again in 2017 for the in-state RBs.

No clue. Not really any other elite options. A few options I'd guess-

1) Work on flipping a target elsewhere (Matt Falcon, Antonio Williams, Travis Homer)
2) Target a lower ranked target more (Trevor Speights, JaQua Daniels)
3) Or like you said, search the grad transfer market after the season.

That being said, none of those are great options.

Agreed. If Hurd ends up somehow limited in 2016 or Kamara blows up and goes pro, we will be severely handcuffed on offense. This class absolutely needs a stud RB.

Must have missed it, when did Holyfield become a long shot? He's coming to Orange Carpet Day and has said he has developed a good relationship with Coach G. Something change here?
