He's Dobbs succesor IMO. I don't buy the Hunter Johnson hype right now. And I don't know if Dormady brings much to the running game.

If I had to guess, the QBs go like this:

Dobbs till 2016.
Guarantano from 2017-2019.
Trevor Lawrence 2020-2022.
I love the irony of you bashing guys for "ridiculous" opinions that Dormady has a better arm than Dobbs and could compete with him next season whilst predicting that a 15 year old is our QB of the future.

Edit: Also...for those who didn't know, In the movie "The Replacements", the role played by Keanu Reeves is supposedly loosely based off of Tony (Played 1 game during the NFL strike of 87 and beat a Dallas team who had players cross the picket line to play) :hi:

Another piece of trivia as it relates to that game. Former Vol lineman Daryl Smith got called to be a replacement player for Dallas. Lined up across from the picket line crossing great DE Dexter Manley of the Redskins, he pretty much dominated him. He basically neutralized him the whole game. When the strike was over Dallas kept Daryl and he went on to have a very successful NFL career. Daryl passed a few years ago way to young.

We're so full of knowledge. Well, we're full of something anyway.

This all day.. that was such a big time throw that Dobbs AINT gonna make. I love our starter, who is more elusive than QD, but QD has the better arm, hands down.

The 50 yard bomb through the air was also pure money and hit the WR on the outside shoulder and in stride.

I have not seen a QB throw like that since Casey.

QD will start at some point and I don't care who comes in behind him they will redshirt and give us some depth.

Man, QD broke the pocket, rolled right & threw a 30 yard seed off of one leg to P. Willy. The mobility plus the accuracy hasn't been seen on the hill that I remember. I'm only 40 ( and a man), so I'm not that old, but maybe one of our older Vol fans can think of someone who possessed arm strength, mobility & accuracy like that (Heath Shuler maybe) but I can't.

That was freshman to freshman by the way.

Tee? Or maybe Crazy Legs?

I feel the same way.

Yep, I can hear it now. "Go to TN if you want, but you'll only get to throw about 5 times a game at max. All the other times you'll be running for your life or handing it off to a back that gets stuffed up the middle." (This does not include Hurd)

Except JG loves to run and does it very well. Perfect for the offense with higher ceiling than Dobbs and will have a much better oline

What makes you think the OL will be much better? Is Mahoney being replaced?

You have to at least think we will be better due to much better talent alone. He doesn't have much to work with on the o-line right now. When you throw in the injury to Jackson and how big of a bust Blair was I don't think you can judge him just yet. Blair being a bust did a lot of damage. It has the few talented guys we have like KK playing out of his best position, which caused a domino effect across the line. Mahoney may not be great, I don't know, but the talent we have getting ready for next year will pay off.

We will have 2 natural tackles in Richmond and Hall. That will be RS SO and JR respectively. A senior Center in Coleman Thomas, a Senior LG in Jashon, and a JR RG in Jack Jones for whichever QB succeeds Dobbs.
