'16 TN ATH Darel Middleton (Tennessee signee)

From a poster on VQ who saw Middleton play last night.

"Against CAK last night in his firPst game this yr. Physically, he is a MONSTER. But he's got a lot of work to do. Heard the footsteps a couple times (he's 6-4.5, 215) and didn't make the extra effort at all that I saw. Also wasn't in on any defensive stops that I saw. Showed big power but looked a little lost. If he can mature, he will be a man child and the good thing is he has three years."

Folks are starting to see what folks in the know have been saying about this kid. He literally thinks he's a super star. He wouldn't even warm up at the half with the rest of the team. Called himself "Clowney" on twitter day of the game. He literally walks around on the field. Poster is spot on. He is lost, slow, lazy and has zero work ethic. His attitude is the worst. If someone can turn around his attitude in three years he might stand a chance....not looking likely at this point since he thinks he is the stuff just the way he is.

Lost, slow, lazy, and zero work ethic sums him up perfectly. He made one play all night (a sack in the 1st half) and that was it. His demeanor on the field is absolutely terrible, and Friday night did nothing to change that perception. You are exactly right, he walks around on the field, and it is obvious that it's all about him and not the team. No heart and no real effort at all. Here's hoping that he grows up in a hurry.

I'd be willing to bet, that during the upcoming summer, CBJ, another member if his staff, and his high school coach, sit down with this kid and lays a few things out. Really hate to see a kid waste talent of any kind. Definitely young enough to correct the attitude early on.

A John Henderson and Al Wilson intervention would work WONDERS.

That's scary even to ponder.

Could get inky in there too

If you can't change after a meeting with Al Wilson, John Henderson, and Inky Johnson, then you need to do a lot of soul searching

You forgot to mention all of the trash talk he was doing all night long.

I've seen no improvement in his attitude. I'll be surprised if he's still on the team at the end of the year. He was the last one out of the locker room for the 2nd half (except for the 2 freshman carrying water) an didn't warm up with the team.

He does not block anyone when he is in at receiver. It makes me sick to watch him play.
