Maybe because he was raised in a different household than you. Some of these kids weren't blessed with a mom and dad to show then how to act and be an upstanding individual. Lot of factors that go into molding a young mind.
All I'm saying is sometimes things can happen in a kids life that changes a lot of who they are. Hell he might just be a bone head I don't know. All we can do is hope for him to get into school, if not he's old enough now to change his mindset if he wants to
Yes but that's business for him and his family. Why does his personal life need to be put on display here? Grow up.
Because it will determine if he comes here or not. It's looking very unlikely to the max. Butchs recruiting profile includes who you are as a person. I'm not the best person in the world at all, but I don't go jumping people either.
There are people who succeded despite not having one of their parents. Ben Carson was raised by only his momma.
Are you aware that some athletes are birthed by people who aren't stable enough to be fit parents?
When you say it's his fault and only his fault, you're discounting multiple variables that could contribute to his behavior. It makes you look intolerant, narrow minded, or otherwise just downright dumb.

If we hold people to different standards because of these variables, then people will make excuses to why they can't succeed. Using these excuses on somebody is putting and keeping them down. They need to be held to the same standard as others. It's going to be harder for them, but they can do it. It comes down to will and choice. He can either say, "why me", or he can say, " I'm not going to fail myself because of my situation.
Hell, most people nowadays aren't fit to be parents, but the kids can always choose to be better than their example.
If thinking Darel can be better than he is intolerant, then I will be intolerant. Making excuses for people and yourselves is putting both of you down.
^^^ none of the aforementioned gives you the right to plaster a kids short comings on a message board. "He has personal issues" a la Hubbs statement is fine. Your approach is aggresive like you have some sort of vendetta against him. Let our coaches and DM worry about DM, and in the mean time take a look in a mirror and realize you dont have the right to judge anyone.
Again, grow up.
Tell that to most people. Almost everybody I've ever seen judges in one way or another. I just happen to be an aggressive person. A message board is for expressing ones opinions. I'm expressing mine. Not everyone talks and thinks in the same way. It would make this world boring if they did.
Also, I look at myself in the mirror almost everyday and see where I can improve. It's how I become a better person.

As human beings, we all have trials and tribulations. It comes down to choosing if were going to be winners or losers.
The point:This. As long as we don't hold people personally accountable for their actions when they are young we are setting them up to fail in life. IMO excuses for bad behavior are just excuses. I have known children of rich people who ended up in prison because they were always let get out of the consequences of bad behavior until it was too late. I've known a lot of kids born dirt poor who became outstanding successful adults. If you want to help young men succeed in life; they don't need your excuses. They need people who tell them plainly and often there is no excuse for bad behavior. After well beyond 3 decades in the criminal justice system I have some background on which to base my opinion.
The point:
How in the hell does bashing them on a message board hold them accountable?
No, I've seen the word "thug". There are multiple other examples throughout the thread. Basically people calling him worthless as a human because of his problems. I have no problem with anybody just posting info. Should have clarifiedDefine bashing OF. I realize spreading rumors is classless and the ones spreading rumors deserve all the bashing they receive. I don't see posting first hand knowledge of what someone did in a public setting as bashing. Many have accused JPS and others of bashing the kid when they have first hand knowledge of events. Should those with intimate knowledge of the situation just keep it to themselves in your opinion?
Dumb is making excuses for poor behavior. That is what an enabler does.
I'm not making excuses for him.
I'm saying we shouldn't blast him because we don't know the details of his situation. We don't know what kind of support he has.
Right now, I don't think he should have an offer due to his off field issues, but I also don't think adults on a message board should rip the kid because they don't know all of the details. The staff can figure that out.

If you read my post again you will find nothing about "bashing" the kid. Whether you and others will admit it or not there is ample evidence of bad behavior. My post however was strictly related to those posters making excuses for his bad behavior. The point:
