'16 TN ATH Darel Middleton (Tennessee signee)

Racketeering nor "threatening people" are considered petty crimes. Bravo on the attempt though, a good laugh is always welcomed.

Thankfully, football starts in 5 days!!! Everyone is extremely chippy in all the threads, except TG's, where they are fully insane!!!

Sooo, you find that as acceptable behavior from a 17 year old kid? Just wondering.

Nearly 100% positive I never endorsed it. Can you tell me more about DMs "thuggish activities?"

Didn't think so...

Again, the argument here isn't whether or not DM has personal issues; that's very apparent. But to sit her and disect a minors life and judge him on his shortcomings is just ludicrous.

I think it's kind off up in the air at ATP. Were not discussing that up in here though. We're currently breaking down DMs thuggish ruggish lifestyle.

I only asked if he was playing this year at Powell because IMO it would kind of tell how bad his situation really is/was. IF the coach at Powell is allowing Darel to play this year, obviously it's probably not as bad a situation as some have made it out to be. IF he is not playing or had to transfer in order to play football as a SR, it could be as bad or worse than discussed.

I was jk btw. But I totally agree.

He's playing at Powell this year and the new coach is very excited about it

If that's the case, the situation is probably not as extreme as some have made it out to be. Kid gets things going in the right direction and he could be just fine. Hopefully Darel can shift all the bad pub to good pub and focus on the end prize that is waiting for him if he can get things back on track. Would like to see him in Orange in 2016.

Agreed.

I do not remember when and who may have used the word, "thug." The kid is anything but a team player and so far has quit on 2 basketball coaches and 2 football coaches and is working tentatively with a 3rd one. What is ludicrous is your judgement and attempt at intimidation of people on here stating the facts.

Burger called him a thug, I think.

When Darel proves the haters wrong, I don't even want them to come here to eat crow. I don't want them in here at all...

That includes you burger. You should be full from all that crow you ate over Chris Wetherd.

I was surprised when Weatherd made it in. Sometimes its good to be wrong.

If you're talking about the posters simply reporting on what he's doing/has done, how is that hating? Most of the Powell people hope and pray he does turn it around and becomes the D1 athlete he's capable of being on and off the field. Just because your doubtful that he does, because of multiple incidents, doesn't make one a hater. Just skeptical.

He had tried to transfer last year about the time he became incognito for the basketball team. For reasons unknown to me, the transfer did not happen.

He's playing this year because there is a new coach that is giving him another chance. If last year's coach had returned, who knows if he would be playing or not. Let's hope this is a great year for him and Powell.

Tonight is the first night in pads, I'll let you kow how he looks. I'm guessing he will look like a man amongst boys.

JPS, you probably don't need my approval but I appreciate the way you've approached this. You are clearly in the know in this situation but you've always kept a level head. Thanks for bringing info to the board as it comes available. I think we all appreciate.it.

Thanks, I appreciate the kind words. I just try to keep it real. :good!:

SIAP, but are we still considering this guy committed. I know it's in the tread title, but I wasnt sure if we pulled his offer and told him we were definitely still wanting him but we needed to see him mature or something.

Kid definitely has the ability and frame for SEC ball, hope he can get it together no matter what. So many kids today don't make it, hope he can do it
