'16 TN Cornerback Donte Vaughn

I just heard from Donte's dad. They will be at Jr. day on the 21st. His list as of now is, UT, Bama, Ole Miss, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss, and Ohio State. Hopefully he will have a great time at Jr. day.

Tell dad to make it easy for the kid.

"Commit to UT at Jr Day or you walking home".

Boom!

He has visited Georgia. I'm just not too sure the visit was everything he had expected. Both of his parents are really liking UT. It's usually a good thing to have mom's input. Let's hope he picks UT.

Old ms is mentioned twice. Is that a hidden secret of the leader? Jk

I've had him penciled into my 2016 class from the jump(last June) at CB/S. Hope we can get him in Orange.

Volinmem, is that 4.79 in the 40 right or has he not practiced the 40 much? I really like his height tho 6'3" CB makes me think of Richard Sherman ( who's 40 is in the 4.5's). Thanks for the info buddy it's nice to hear from a real insider.

The last visit at UT, his time was 4.57. His dad was telling me how happy he was to get it under 4.6. I'm in no way an insider, I just happened to had worked with his dad. This is the only recruit I can give any info on.

That's fast enough if good technique is used IMO. On the "insider" thing I just meant it was nice to hear real info about a target. Thanks again.

I just looked it up Richard Sherman runs the 40 in 4.56. Also was a little surprised to see that Joe Haden's 40 is 4.57

Donte is a major take. Very athletic. He's got good physicality and quickness that could really present a match-up nightmare for the opponents. With his nose for the ball, he would also be good in various zones. Make it happen, Butch.

These are the kind of guys who Butch gets signed for Tennessee. It's awesome to have an elite recruiter coaching Tennessee.

One of his high school coaches told me that he was on offense (I think QB) as a freshman and wanted his athleticism on the field. So, they moved him to CB and love his length. He said they put him in at QB in a scrimmage last year, and he had a long TD run.

Due to the weather, Donte' didn't go to Knoxville this weekend. He is at LSU instead. He will be in Knoxville on March 7th.
