I definitely appreciate the information. Haha I guess I was trying to calm a VN storm before it started, knowing how this board can run with the smallest grain of information. Hopefully you can keep the info coming throughout his recruitment.

Just spoke with a former teammate of Bryce's at BA. Apparently his mom wants him at A&M, but his dad wants him close to home. His exact words were "I'm not saying he's gonna go to UT, but..he's going to UT."

TIFWIW. This guy was pretty drunk. Go Vols.

The teammate and offensive line-mate of Tennessee commitment Ryan Johnson, Mathews is the son of former Tennessee Titan offensive lineman Jason Mathews and he's already a highly touted offensive lineman himself.

Mathews already has offers from Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Vanderbilt and Texas A&M, where his father played. He visited Alabama on Saturday for its game against Florida and he will be in Knoxville when the Vols take on the Gators and he's scheduled to see Texas A&M play LSU later this fall. Tennessee has had him on campus numerous times but his recruitment is picking up.

Time for a bump?

Given our woes at the Tackle position, I'm really hoping we aggressively go after Bryce. Glad we got Ryan Johnson, but could definitely use a natural Left Tackle.

We're looking much better at Guard and Center over the next few years. Tackle is still a weakness, though. I think one reason Butch is trying to redshirt Blair is that he's worried about depth at Tackle in 2016. Would be great to get two very good Tackles in the pipeline that year.

It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out. A&M is loaded at tackle and has a commitment from the #1 OT Gregory Little. He may not like their depth chart, but who knows.
