JJ will get that shot as promised the first yr by the coach's but will be shocked if Jennings is still on the QB depth chart by time the '16 class is finalized.

Yep a year is plenty of time to determine if there is potential at QB or not. After the year they can discuss options and next steps. He is too good an athlete to have riding the bench just by being stubborn if it comes to thatz

Exactly..I would hope Jennings wouldn't be that stubborn, especially with talk that he has potential NFL type talent at safety. You're talking about the potential to make a lot of money at the next level but cant let stubbornness interfere with that.If in a yr he shows real ability as a QB and ability to be a good passer then more power to him. But if he is developing slowly and is buried behind Dormady and Jones then it's a no brained.

This guy does not need to be on the 4th page in the threads. He's a great instate quarterback, and he should be a great option especially if we lose Kendall's commitment!

Yet we've seen Barnett, Ryan Johnson, Bryce Mathews, Vic, Gaulden, Van come out of Williamson Co in the last 3 classes while Maury has only spat out Harris and now Oden. I live in Maury Co, so trust me I want to see great prospects come out of here and give me some entertainment value.

Also tiny Richardson was originally from Maury county then transferred.

True. With the way BA, MBA and Ensworth recruit there's no telling where everyone is from. Rico McGraw is apparently from Giles Co yet playing all the way up at Ensworth. I also forgot Jalen Ramsey coming from BA.

Yes, I know they offered 3 or 4 players from central and MTP years ago. I haven't heard of much recruiting lately though

Guys don't let a highlight film fool you. This kid has a long ways to go in order to be a legit UT recruit. The best qb in Mid TN football is Jimmy Ferrell at PC. This kid from Spr Hill is not that good and if he wanted to commit it is not possible. I'm not knocking him or putting him down just stating the facts. I've watched the PC gm a few times and he did absolutely nothing, and before you say it was one gm I'll state the facts. PC had one of if not the worst defense in Metro last yr and were beaten by a one man tm against East and in Memphis. Oden did absolutely nothing against them. I think he is a mid major guy at this point who could get better with good coaching. His biggest attribute is his athleticism.

Once I looked at his stats as a JR, he dropped down my list. When a QB is going 1 of 11 passing with 2 INTs vs anyone in HS, there are obvious concerns. Imo both Oden and Guarantano are big projects when they transition to college QBs.
