'17 CA QB Jack Sears (Duke commit)

If we skip a QB this class, that could only leave us with 2 scholarship QB's in 2017 if one transfers. We could slide JJ over to provide some depth if needed? Just a thought

Dormady's
Jones
Guarantano

Unless one of them is leaving this year.

Hope we get this guy for 2017. You need to always recruit QBs. I'm sure most would agree that it is an important position.

im ready to play against the type of defenses that Baylor gets to see 80% of the time. Iowa State, SMU, Rice,Kansas, Texas Tech, TCU make everyone look special on offense.

This. Dobbs would make all those team's defenses look silly. See how hard it was to beat Iowa and Northwestern in our bowl games? :):eek:lol:

There is no doubt Baylor has had a great offense in recent years. There is also no doubt that those offenses would not have been as great facing SEC defenses 8 games a year.

This kid is ranked #2 in the Elite 11 final after 2nd day behind Davis Mills and in front of.....Hunter Johnson...hehehe.

Weren't we one of his first offers? I think it was UT and BC early on. Once again, that "Evaluation Office" in high gear, not that showing up at the Elite 11 guarantees success. But we do a pretty darned good job of identifying prospects early on.

GFW.Does the recruiting staff ever play a little hide and seek with some of these recruits to keep them off the radar?

If by hide and seek you mean hold off on offering, yes. This staff is outstanding at identifying guys very early and keeping them interested. It's easier to recruit against Charlotte than Clemson.

How many titles have Baylor, TCU, or Oregon won?

We're better off being a physical running team like Alabama than one of this gimmicky passing teams that never win anything.

The argument against 40+ ppg averages and regular 350+ passing baffles me.

I don't think those are the limiting factors

I don't think that is what he meant by having a better passer and top flight receivers. See Bama for a reference.
