Valid point. Obviously if there is a large difference in class number that can be skewed. I'm talking about classes somewhat close in numbers. Should have made that clear. There is a reason that no recruiting services use average star ranking. If you booted our 7 worst recruits it would appear to make our class better by average star ranking and we wouldn't drop a single spot as Rivals only counts the top 20. But 27 commits > 20 commits. We still have the best 20, we just have 7 additional players.
Talking about average star ranking is moving the cheese.
If a class has 20 commits and is ranked higher than a class with 27 commits, the gap is even more significant in talent.
Possibly. If you look at average star ratings the difference can be fairly significant IMO unless it is just a small class.
Bama is just unreal right now.
Clemson and Stanford might not jump us based on how many they take but both classes are elite.
Can't predict how players are gonna end up. ..almost ever school missed on McCleskey
Yes and nearly every school "missed" on Joc Bruce and Vincent Perry but Butch clearly took a chance on them. There is no question they were projects from the start.
It's okay to admit this staffs evaluation of talent isnt all that great.
How does this kid get an offer from the Vols to play RB and Chase Hayden doesn't?
Something isn't right here!
Its hit or miss but no better or worse than most staffs in America. For every bust there is a gem.
No Insider, but I don't think it's a conspiracy.
Timing is my guess. We were still in for Akers when Chase was an option, now we're down to who's not committed.
I know there's anger over the non offer, but if we had made an offer and pulled it because we did land the bigger fish oh, wow.
Oh of course not, there's no live for the legacy posters on here. Don't know what I was thinking.
And no way his family and friends in the area would have thought twice about it.
