'17 GA CB Yusuf Corker

Missing on Corker and Nixon late in the cycle only strengens my thought that Martinez is 100% gone. Some of our earlier commits have formed relationships with other players, commits, and staff to get them through some assistant changes. But I believe these guys didn't want to commit unsure of who would be their position coach.

Trey Smith and Ty Chandler. You guys WANT to gloss over them...but you can't. :)

Tee Higgins, Jacob Phillips, Amari Rodgers, Cordarrian Richardson, Obinna Eze, Jacoby Stevens.....more to "gloss over" when looking from the other perspective Butch. Thrilled to have Smith, Chandler and even Gray in the fold. But it's difficult to see how we didn't fall short on 2017 in-state recruiting imo.

Ill give you 3 of those...higgins, phillips and stevens. Unfortunately i dont judge a class based on what zip code a kid has.

It makes me physically ill to lose to those so called teams. I dont think i need to constantly call it out. Is it not obvious? Id rather focus on the positive and the future. Guess people just feel the need to use this place for different reasons.

The future is what's got me concerned. I get more of a negative feeling heading into the future based on how bad the defense played, losing those games in the 2nd half of the season, and the big question mark of how 2017 recruiting class will finish.

Tee Higgins out of your examples. Eze was recruited but we landed two in-state OTs better. And Stevens was never coming here. One failure...Higgins.

I'm sure the coaching staff will take your negative feelings heading into next year with utmost respect

Not to mention Richardson probably doesn't even have the grades to graduate high school, we knew better than go after him and Clemson finally told him bye.

**** happens. Move on.

So that's it? "Ish happens" in year 4 when you were odds-on favorite but failed badly when you lost to two SECe bottom-dwellers and it's "oh well, that's life", it's no problem, everything's great in Knoxville? So what happens if we "move on" and Jones leads us to 7-5 or worse in 2017.....we still saying "meh, it's all good, just move on"?

Even before that, I never saw him as a take. Definitely never saw him as a miss.

Id rather have a chance then have to wait another 4 years with whoever you have in mind...unicorns cant coach.

I absolutely understand this stance. I do too, I would love for Butch to prove me wrong, man. I really would. But there have been so many red flags. I don't have anyone in mind, I just don't want to fall too far into the abyss before action. Losing out on players like Corker etc, this class as whole falling below standards, doesn't fair well for the future. Butch's best chance at success is to recruit beyond his coaching limitations, and that's not happening.

Having said all that, this class isn't as bad as some make it out. A lot of the "3 stars" have much more potential than what they have given thus far. But I also dont subscribe to what nerds like Woody Wommack have to say. Offers are always telling.

Lets revisit after NSD. Trust me if we do not finish strong i will be the first to admit it.

Those problems should be obvious. It's like some of you are oblivious about the problems on the defensive side of the ball

What's the point of *****ing about it on here? If they don't make changes he will be gone there is no more leeway and butch knows that he is not stupid
