Will definitely need a redshirt year to add some weight though. JRM is 230 according to our roster. But I would say anywhere above 220 that he can keep his speed

Tackling machine & we need a bunch of them.

Maybe they don't use him as a pass rusher & instead use him in coverage. He's too good not to have more sacks so it probably has to be the reason. He probably plays a lot of man-to-man himself & zone as well.

He is a good athlete, but he is not a forceful tackler. He makes a lot of hand tackles, but seems to not like filling the hole and hitting the runner head-on. He will have to improve his toughness to play on Saturdays. He has really good speed and can get to the correct spots to be an impact.

I don't care how he tackles right now at this level, 132 tackles is a tackling machine for high school & even college.

Second coming of AJ Johnson?

Obviously, he's a good tackler having that many per game in high school. I'm sure his technique will be tweaked a bit by our coaching staff but he's a tackling machine it appears to me.

Never said or implied it wouldn't be corrected. Just that arm tackles won't get it done in the sec.

Someone said he made a lot of arm tackles. You said he was a tackling machine so you didn't care. I said hand tackles/arm tackles won't cut it in the sec. I think that's a pretty accurate recap lol.

Bold above. I do not believe I said that I didn't care. I'll have to go back & look to see if that's exactly how I put it. No buggy really but that doesn't sound like something I would say. Thanks.

Edit:
I didn't just say that I didn't care. I said this "I don't care how he tackles right now at this level". That's not saying I don't really care. It's all good though. No big deal. :p

He had 17 tackles in the 2nd round of the AAAAA playoffs last week. Kell is still alive and play in the quarterfinals this week vs Woodland and Yusuf Corker.

Yeah, either you can form tackle when you drop out of the womb or get lost! Coaches don't teach fundamental football!

Not talking about coaching. Talking about toughness and aggressiveness.

The argument isn't that he hits hard and fails to wrap up. He goes "Roger Dorn."

It can say whatever you want it to after a good edit. I'm done talking about it though let's just move on and talk about something we both agree on. That's this kid definitely has a nose for the football.

I didn't edit my post until AFTER you brought it up. You're right though. Let's just move on down the road to something else. Thanks buddy.
