One of Tennessee's earliest commitments for the 2017 class made a big jump in 247Sports' rankings Monday coming off an impressive senior season.
Three-star linebacker
Solon Page III of Kell High School in Marietta, Ga., climbed more than 600 spots and now is ranked by 247Sports as the nation's No. 338 overall prospect and No. 26 outside linebacker in the 2017 class.
The move also helped the 6-foot-2, 207-pound Page who has been committed to the Vols since April vault more than 200 spots in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite rankings, where he's now the nation's No. 576 overall prospect and No. 39 outside linebacker.
Page, one of four linebackers currently committed to Tennessee in the 2017 class, was named Georgia's Class AAAAA defensive player of the year last month by the Georgia Sports Writers Association.
He piled up 161 tackles, including 22 for losses, along with two sacks, one interception and four forced fumbles during his senior season, helping Kell reach the Class AAAAA state semifinals and finish with an 11-3 record.
