Competition is weak until the Playoffs, but he has tons of potential. I'm going to be able to watch at least 3/4 games of his since he plays all the schools around me.
Be exciting to watch the next couple years and show up supporting the Vols.

His team lost 55-34 this past Friday. I hope that wasn't against weak competition.

No idea about his competition but the ND 247 guy was there. He said his team is pretty bad that surrounds him and that without Hunter they get demolished. He said it was still obvious to see why he is so highly rated. This all from a homer ND mod disappointed he went elsewhere. So quit worrying about it.

I counted 8 dropped passes, including 2 dropped TD passes. His WR and OL are average at best. He would've had over 450 yards and 5 TD had they made routine plays.

Per Hubbs on the radio this morning

On Johnson commitment:

Terrific arm. #4 overall rated player for 2017 and could have gone anywhere. Loves UT and Peyton. Fan base is excited about the commitment and anticipation for arrival of season. Butch continues to show strong recruiting capabilities. Says a lot about the value of Mike Debord. Hire met with a lot of criticism, but this, along with JG, solidifies his rep.


Last time got this good of a QB committed:

Crompton. Was top 5 recruit. Ainge was different as he came on late and blew up. Fans so excited about QB because they do a great job of recruiting other prospects. Getting QB commit early helps bring a good class together. See this with the Tee Higgins commitment as well.

I'm not bashing him, I think he is good but the competition is weak, and his team is weak. He can't help that, Indiana has gotten a lot better as a state producing talent recently, It's just one of those situations. QD went through the same thing . He had a game zero TDs and 4 picks if I remember correctly. Maybe not zero TDs, but Johnson has boatloads of potential. Just knock on the leagues compared to other states.
He played Pike, that's Dominique Booth's old stopping grounds, now that's actually inner city school with some athletes, tough game on their schedule lol. So he played decent competiton that game and put up a decent game. There is a LB for Pike that can play, have to look his name up.

Didn't see the game and don't know a lot about his team. I do know is Hunter was 13-20 for 190 first half and his team had a 27-20 lead. Second half Hunter was 5-15 for 74 yards plus he was sacked twice for 30+ yards and his team lost by 3 td's. Meaningful? Probably not but actual games mean more to me then camps. Hopefully Hunter raises the play of his teammates the next few weeks. They are not void of talent but maybe their coach just sucks.

Thought Casey was a 5. I remember my family talking about Crompton (I was off in the middle east for some time) and how he was supposed to be amazing.. :(

You never know. Statistically, probably half of our top players (* wise), will not perform to their ranking

Everyone thought that coming in and he was probably the most popular player on the team in 2006.

Will give him this he had a pretty good 2009 season under Kiffin.
