'17 LA CB Cheyenne Labruzza (UT signeee)

It may not be anything but his screen name does have "fool" in it. Again, might not mean anything.

lol. In this case, it looks like it means something. J/k

Some fans are used to losing, be it games or recruits, but I'd rather believe things are changing, and we can grab some Lousiana kids with Corndog offers. He may switch tomorrow or on NSD, but we need to show him support and keep things positive. Specially, knowing some recruits read their threads. Believing we hang on to this young man, and hopefully a start to CBJ signing some recruits from Corndog Country.

I like the kid's game, could be a really good one in that perfect orange color.

Yep.

He would be a good start for turning these young men's heads toward corn from a jar country instead of corndog country.

LSU's depth chart at CB should help TN here. Coaches will push for him, but not that hard as there are bigger needs in this class (front 7) and Bama is trying to poach pretty much all of them.

If you can play, you'll play...depth is really not a problem. If LSU could manage to get Peterson, Clairborne, Mathieu, Simon, and Brooks on the field in 2010 I don't think playing time is an issue.... and yes, all of them got lots of playing time.

QB and K are really the only positions where you don't want players switching in and out too much. Now if one is afraid of competition... than LSU probably isn't the place to go as a DB.

From what I have heard EE Smith will probably be the #1 CB at LSU by mid-season if not sooner... crazy to think a early enrollee can come in take a job but it might happen.... and you figure White is a top 2-5th round guy and Tolliver has probably potential to be top 2 round guy. No rest that is for sure.

Wait... You can get corn from something other than a jar ?!?! Since when?

Not like our CB depth will be a slouch. Both will be loaded.

LSU us DBU right now. But UT has some horses in their secondary. Point blank...Labruzza can play anywhere. Just like Sutton, except he may be more talented.

Looking forward to meeting you all in ATL.

I didn't mean to imply the Vols were any less talented. My point was depth chart is often used as an excuse. If you can play, on most teams you will find a way to get to the field, the 85 man scholarship limit makes it less likely that you will be buried on the depth chart. Q and K are somewhat of an exception, but even LSU has rotated kickers in games. There really is no reason for players to play the whole game if others are available and ready to go... sometimes that is not the case.

I can tell you what Les does, if he has several freshman at positions he tries to get at least one of them in on game #1 with significant playing time. Keys was the guy last year on the DL and Tolliver at CB, and they both stuck or took over the position after the early tests.

Oh I understand I was just saying he'll face similar depth at both schools. Playing time won't just come easy or just by showing up. Glad it's like that personally.

Yeah, more often than not the good rise to the top... every once in a while a guy can get buried, meaning they really didn't get a good shot... but that is pretty rare I think.

I happen to be looking at a LSU board, and they were talking about a 4-5 star recruit from a few years ago.... he transferred a year ago out. You know why I was told he left? They said, you see those walk-ons... get behind those guys because you ain't doing diddly so far here. :)

I agree, its a good thing.

Bump. The kid is a talented commit and going to be here for Orange Carpet Day. It shouldn't be so hard to find his thread.
