Hurd was a 5 star recruit. He missed all of his senior year with an injury so he may have got bumped late in the process.
We have had 2 top five classes and the 15th rated class over the last 3 years. You don't get classes rated that highly by taking a lot of 3 star players. Jalen Hurd is our best player and he was a 5 star recruit. Don't get why some people make it seem like we have a team made up of 3 star players.
Composite 3 stars

Meanwhile a ton of our 4 stars haven't done anything yet. Only 9 of our 4 stars (2013/2014 classes) have done anything so far. And that includes guys like Weatherd. Then you have guys who haven't done much like..

3 stars = mediocrity. It has been proven time and again. Just noticed LSU now has 3 top 100 players after Ausbon's commitment. There is a reason why you sign 4-5 star players. They are FAR more likely to pan out than a 3 star. See Alabama's on field results for a good example of this. When was our last SEC championship 1998.
