Good group. Just hope they hold firm on keeping Chase. It would be a huge mistake to push him out. He is a gamer, team player and good student... I feel it's getting a little tight right now....

And? Was he just waiting on that? I really don't think Chase has anything to worry about from the UT end. He has produced. The guys you will see get bumped are not playing well at all. For instance, if I understand correctly, the committed QB in this class has lost his starting job.

Chase has consistently put good numbers up with a strong playoff run and his QB throwing to him in the Ms/Ala all star game should help also. You always have to expect the unexpected

Your kiddo is this sleeper of this class. He's everything you want in the new Hback type player.

Parys Harrlyson was a hard working guy from Mississippi that just produced. I think Chase can have similar success.

Your kid and Austin Pope are going to make each other better.

Sounds like you are listening to LSU. Recruiting is a crazy game. If they give the job to Coach O, god help them :):).

Given the seeming tenuous position being a lower rated guy has in our class, I get why he would have to listen to LSU and others, but like I said earlier, a guy like Chase is not going to be cut. The fact that another big timer like LSU is even interested is a good sign that his place is secure from UTs end. The ones that get cut, don't have any interest from other top programs.

Do you know if they consider Bumphus a TE? If they don't then I don't see anyway they drop Chase. We only have 3 scholarship TE on the roster for next year and one has blown his knee out twice.

No bumphus is a DE. I don't see any reason they would not keep Chase. We will need a TE like him to stretch the field with Croom graduating.

St. Stanislaus tight end Chase Rogers tied Mississippi’s career touchdown reception mark Friday night as the Rockachaws held on for a close 20-7 victory over rival Pass Christian in the Region 8-4A regular season finale in Bay St. Louis.

Rogers, a Tennessee commit, caught five receptions for 100 yards and three touchdowns to finish the night with 43 career scores.

Great night with the record breaking TD called back on penalty. Chase has 58 yds and 17 receptions to break all Ms state career records... Go Vols

With the commit tonight from James Brown, hoping things are still copacetic with Chase. IMO, Chase is your prototype TE, whereas Brown has only been playing the position one season. I don't even think the services have evaluated him at TE yet. Hopefully Rockachaw will have some input here.
