If Stevens goes to UGA, that's a loss. But for that ZDT punk to come on here and gloat about it is ridiculous. The Vols have signed so much talent from the state of Georgia over the years. And then he's nowhere to be found. Just one more reason to hate that school.

All Georgia kids who beat you last year. We know 2 will get drafted soon, and I would guess over half of this list gets drafted. Thanks, Georgia.

I have great faith that Jones and staff will bring in another outstanding class in 2017. I just have very little faith that Stevens will be in it.

You may be right.

I hope he picks the best situation for him and his family. He's a good kid and I will never criticize his decision (not saying you did). If not us, and I think we are still in it, I am a huge JaCoby Stevens fan when he's not playing us.

Pretty sure I read an article where he was quoted as saying he was originally from Louisiana and has family there. I am not saying he grew up there until high school. It is very comparable to some of the players we have gotten who have ties to UT or the state and never grew up in TN.

Well can't say exactly where he was born because my memory isn't that good but I do remember him going to the church summer camp with my kids around pre school age. Sometimes there doesn't need to be a valid reason for a kid to want to use their God given gifts and go a little further than Knoxville, he doesn't owe the university of Tennessee nothing. This kid has put in the work to get to this point and I hope he chooses the school that is the best fit for him. Knoxville or not I'm proud of the young man

It's the kid's life changing and incredibly important decision. No one should take a shot at the kid doing what you say, it's all about what's best for him and only he can figure that out. I certainly hope he winds up at UT and if not, that he doesn't go to an SEC East team. Either way, he's an immensely talented kid and will be fine if he decides Tennessee isn't right fit for him and Tennessee's program will surely be fine without him.

However, we will still blame volatil

Also who's got a more polished resume over the past 3-5 yrs as an OL or OC DeBorg/Mahoney vs Chaney/ Pittman? That's really simple. Pittman is easily regarded to as if not the best 1 of the best in NCAA and Chaney has OL experience as well.

I personally don't get the Chaney hype at all. Never have and never will. Not saying he's a bad coach by any means but he isn't this great OC either that some seem to think. When is the last time a Bielema coached offense did not have a great running game? He had one every year at Wisconsin well before Chaney was ever in the picture. I'd say what DeBord accomplished last year with the limitations at the QB position was more impressive than anything Chaney did at UT or Arkansas.

Right there with you! Was I the only one alive when he'd get blistering after action reports?

Jacoby Stevens grew up in middle Tennessee, went to church with him when he was a kid in Antioch. I see de's point here, some of y'all like to post bs when you don't even know the facts. I even saw one of y'all say his family was hurricane Katrina refugees. I'm not even his family and I was like wtf.

Actually that is the facts. He said himself in the article on page 53 from SEC Country, among others, that he spent his early years growing up in Louisiana. (Crowley to be exact) He also mentioned how "everyone" of his family members is from Louisiana and he visits often.

“I spent most of my years growing up during the summer in Louisiana,” Stevens said. “Every one of my family members is from Louisiana and they’re still there. I’m just comfortable here and feel more at home in Louisiana.”

Jacoby Stevens

Him and Wray are indeed transplants, so it does make it a little different recruiting them.

Going to visit your family in the summer and actually living there is totally different. I assume that you can read, and if you can then you will see that I didn't say he was born here but he has been around here since he was very young, like preschool young

I can but apparently you cannot. He said he lived there in his early years. Also, as you can see, I never said you said he was born here. However, you are the one that that said posters were spewing "BS" and didn't know what they were talking about. Turns out it's you who is the ignorant one. Way to get all pissy at someone who didn't insult you at all in my response.

The bs I was talking about was someone in an earlier post said he was a hurricane Katrina refugee. His family was here in middle tn before hurricane Katrina.
