'17 TN OL/DT Trey Smith (UT commit 12/6/2016)

Drove it over Christmas and there really wasn't any construction. Has it popped back up? After Dallas and the Beirut they have going on there everything else is a cakewalk.

I drove it over the weekend, and the only construction between Knoxville and Jackson was at the Kingston Bridge.

You either drove someplace else or you missed the widening of the bridges over the Harpeth River in Cheatam County on I-40. Also, widening construction near Fessler's Lane on I-40 in Nashville.

Construction may be there but the only lane closures TDOT does are at night anymore. And I have no idea of the work at Fesslers. Only work in the area is ITS stuff, which almost always stays off the road.

Point being, the drive from Jackson to K-town is a breeze.

Live in that area, it's been a complete screw up.

You're not wrong. . .

Haha. No, I definitely took 40 from Knoxville to Jackson. Any construction outside of Kingston didn't shut down any lanes or affect traffic whatsoever.

Yeah, MM 190, traffic stays moving smoothly for the most part tho.

I think this one is going to come down to us, Bama, and Ole Miss. I really hope we can lock him up down the stretch.

The Class of 2017 ESPN 300 is all about the offensive tackles, and Trey Smith (Jackson, Tennessee/University School), a 6-foot-5, 300-pound tackle prospect is the No. 1 overall player.

For a comparison, we think he is a player in the mold of 2013 No. 1 overall OT Laremy Tunsil: Smith possesses all the tools of a premier left tackle. He is not among the most physically intimidating tackle prospects at this stage, and he needs to add size, but he has ideal height and length with some deceptive size and strength, along with plenty of physical upside. Smith's key trait is his ability to protect the edge in pass protection; he possesses very good lower-body flexibility and balance and is light on his feet.

Smith is an underrated run-blocker who moves well with good range. He also has a nasty demeanor as a blocker and can be a strong finisher. In short, with continued progression, Smith could start from Day 1.
