Honestly, why even ask the question? It doesn't work that way.
Playmakers can't make plays if they don't have time to get the ball. I'll take Smith.
Even if he does go D-line....the game is won at the line of scrimmage.
Playmakers also can't make plays if they aren't playmakers
To me 1 elite wr has more of an effect on an offense than 1 elite OL would have as there are still 4 more that could be exploited by the other team
I've seen many teams where you take off that one top wideout and the whole offense stagnates

I have to respectfully disagree. Your argument is based on the assumption that the other 4 linemen are not very good. We've recruited exceptionally well at that position over the last few years, and we're in on several more good ones.
Also, assuming both Higgins and Smith are on the field at the same time, only Smith will be directly involved in the play each time. It's been beaten to death, but we have had a run-heavy offense as of late, which takes Tee out of the equation, say, a little over half the time. The line is either protecting the quarterback or opening up holes. They don't get a play off.
I would rather have 5 elite OL and 5 moderate skill players than vice versa.
(Edit: with the same quarterback)
Mine was more of a general statement on the effect 1 wr can make versus 1 tackle
1 wr can dictate coverage and open up N offense. 1 tackle can't so much if the rest of the line isn't good
If you asking if I can have an elite OLine or an elite WR corp I'd take the elite OL
But if I only get 1 elite then in college I'm picking QB, rb, wr before tackle
