They won't make the change until then. Unless the wheels come completely off next year, 5-7 or worse, he's back. Another bad season the following year and then he'll probably get the boot. Hell, at the rate we're going we probably will be still searching for a search firm to hire an AD this time next year.

We got, what, 7 commits from OCD? Of those, the ones remaining are Bumphus (good in-state athlete at TE or DE, definite take), Jackson (in-state DB, take), Fant (in-state WR, take if grades are in order), and Coleman (RB, needed 3, fine with it). The other 3 guys from that day are gone. What is your story, here?

I don't see how those affect Ray/Conliffe. If you want to complain about a late take like Thaxton? I get that (same position, late enough to think you could maybe get him to hold off as a backup plan). Or Palmer? I just don't get why OCD is the reason you want to run with when we got rid of half of those guys by this time anyway.

I just can't believe this staff is willing let Conliffe go. Aside from Crosby, he's an upgrade over pretty much every other DL we have committed.

That's the thing - they didn't let him go. They pushed for an answer and didn't get one. They weren't willing to hold a spot for him. There is a difference. Ray is worth holding a spot for. Concliff had his chance.

Man this is frustrating. Need all the DL help we can get. If we don't land Ray or Conliffe this place will be a dumpster fire

Not holding a spot for him is letting him go imo. We were trending for Conliffe even after his UF visit. You make room for a player of Conliffe's caliber too.

Numbers are tight. They pushed for a commitment because they would have made a move with someone else. Asking kids to look elsewhere when they don't have a chance to take any more visits or other teams don't have room for them is dirty business. We are keeping an open spot for one player. Beyond that someone that is committed would have to flip or appear to be a definite non qualifier. Those complaining about Thaxton need to realize that he is a low risk kid. Low risk of transferring, low risk of flunking out. Low risk, high IQ, high character. Before someone says it, no, I don't know the kid. I'm just tired of people complaining about kids that want to be Vols.

I have a hard time believing we would not take 2 out of Ray,Conliffe or Sterling. I guarantee you they take Ray and I have a hard time believing we would turn down another either one of the other 2. GBO!!!!

I like our DL haul for sure. But need as much depth as we can get. Also, we need a dominant pass rusher because we will miss Barnett. I'm not sure anyone we have on the roster can do that, maybe Phillips? Ray could be that guy tho if we could get him
