'18 CA QB Adrian Martinez

Imo it's in his best interest to go to Nebraska. It appears Helton doesn't have much experience at all with a running QB

Most QB's prefer "not to run" and only do when everything looks covered. Then they learn how to get down quick without taking hard hits. Some schools still design plays for a QB run but many of those never reach the NFL. Some may argue that duel-threat QB's are trending upward in the NFL but I can't buy into it.

Mahomes was picked by the Chiefs this past year and may do some things with his feet but he was far a better passer than runner and exception to the rule.

He Needs to know that at least at WKU a pocket passer that made lightning quick decisions had a hell of a career. The ability to make quick decisions gives QD a big leg up on JG imo

So far, QD makes quick bad decisions. Hopefully a new position coach can help him go through his progressions.

based on what?

Ability to get the ball out quickly.

We all know QD wasn't great but we also know he was an awful fit for that offense. He at least was decisive enough to avoid getting sacked likes JD did.

I wouldn't bet a lot on it but I think it's a better fit for him.

I'm concerned that Dormady will struggle to progress due to shoulder issues. Hard to improve when you are not healthy and practicing consistently

He looked scared to death to me. Not decisive.

JG played behind a worse offensive line and still looked better. I’m excited to see what this new staff can do with him.

Agreed. It is worth a little curiosity if nothing else.

Doesn't have the physical or mental toughness to play behind our line, IMO. Gets scared and rattled too easily.

Interesting that a player from California, with no connection to UT, is willing to at least listen to the new coaches pitch and apparently keep an open mind, while Cade Mays apparently won't even allow Pruitt and his father's head coach into his house to at least listen to what they have to say.

True and when kids do that you can't help but respect them if they go elsewhere. If they won't then well, I'll let you fill in the blank.

He removed Tennessee commit from his bio. Looks like he's Nebraska bound. If so then it really sucks. He would of killed it in orange and there's no comparison imo in being a UT QB vs a Nebraska QB. I wish him the best wherever he chooses though.

Yup this one is probably over. Good luck to him.
