Not a sure thing, but there's a pretty decent chance we only have 2 on campus come January is why.

I'm seeing Penix as more a Sheriron type. Talented QB that wants to play that position. Had a few conversations on this board with posters that thought SJ would simply give up on that dream to play a different position for us.

Just wanted to say that I know a lot of people are excited about Martinez, and for good reason. But let's not dismiss Penix. I am just as excited this young man chose to be a VFL as well and I think with both of these talents, were in very good shape at the position the next several years.

Absolutely. This kid is immensely talented, he could prove to be a huge get for us, the QB room will be loaded if we hang on to both.

I don't think he's an SEC WR/S athlete. Not from what I saw in DC.

Speaking of D.C. and WRs, a prospect named Daniel George loves Tennessee, he's a top 250 player on rivals, but we haven't offered.

He's right. QB all the way. He's not near the athlete JJ was coming out of HS. There was a reason JJ was an extremely highly rated "athlete" by all the services.
