Remember when Dooley was hired on January 15 and then pulled a top 10 class?

I'm looking forward seeing how this coaching staff COACHES, because so far, they haven't lived up to their hype when it comes to recruiting.

That was before Dooley was able to run this program in the ****ter as far as possible.

We had the 2nd ranked class when Kiffin left I think. We led for lots of kids and would have probably finished #1 that year. He didn't add much besides Hunter and Stone.

Dooley was lucky because we were able to keep early enrollees and he flipped Da’Rick Rogers and Justin Hunter.

Dooley was a train wreck. But that statement is simply not true. He went out and GOT Justin Hunter, Da'Rick, and others in the 2+ weeks he had. It wasn't Kiffin's class. Dooley pulled that off.

I hated Dooley, but his first recruiting class was more successful than Pruitt's will prove to be. I expect Pruitt to be a much better coach and actually develop players. But we're all lying to ourselves if we say Pruitt has surpassed expectations thus far. This coaching staff was sold to us as a recruiting juggernaut.

just gonna hope he sees the depth chart at bama says frick these hillbillies frick their dodge chargers I wanna play soon and transfers ie Kamara to juco. After that To where he should of gone all along to U

Oh well tho while I loved hearing Watkins was the best slot at UA practice week I’m still by far more excited about the freak that is Trevon Grimes long shot this year but lookout in 19

Van Jefferson, Ty Cleveland, Kadarius Toney, Justin Watkins

Also Swain and Hammond
this group of talented but underachievers under ****ty staff could be solid in Mullen’s offense

Potentially great if guys like Perine, Pierce and Lemons can step up behind Scarlett also Malik Davis maybe gets healthy late in the year

Dooley didn't do that. The revisionist history is running rampant today. This board has a great search feature if you need a refresher

Friendly reminder We had a top 5 class in October.

Friendly reminder Butch was fired a month before the First early signing day. Lane Kiffin bolted in January. Literally 3 months for the wheels to fall off with Butch and everything. Dooley came in and held down the ship for two whole weeks and somehow gets the credit. Also, several of those players were early enrollees and Kiffin left the night before classes started. That locked in those recruits to UT.

Honestly if someone would’ve told me that we would have a top 25 class with all that went down this off season and the coaching search I would’ve been surprised.

I think what ended up happening was that we got our hopes up with a lot of the guys who showed interested who we ultimately didn’t close

Dooley had a bunch of EE's already on campus that Kiffin brought in. The same guys we were upset because Ed O was telling them not to go to classes. They boosted that class ranking.

This one hasn't played. They don't have to do very much to be more successful than Dooleys first class because they won nothing, played in one bowl and lost.

Time will tell but Pruitt blowing up the class so quickly might have been a mistake. Perhaps he should have kept a few more on board.
