'18 FL WR Jacob Copeland (Florida signee)

Da'Rick Rogers - 5*
Justin Hunter - 4*
Jacques Smith - 4*
Raijon Neal - 4*
Dave Clark - 4*
Eddrick Loften - 4*
James Stone - 4*

All 4* or higher that committed in the 2 weeks Dooley had to recruit.

Thus far, in about 2 months, Pruitt has pulled 6 4* guys. Dooley also didn't lose a 5* guy from Knoxville.

Pruitt will be the better coach. But recruiting has not lived up to my expectations. Has it met yours?

Seriously - you are blaming Cade Mays on Pruitt? You can put that at the feet of John Currie, Bev Davenport and all of the crazy boosters, etc. etc. But not Pruitt. Wow - can't even fathom how the Mays fiasco is remotely Pruitt's fault. Mays was unrecoverable weeks before Pruitt was even named. The fact that Mays even entertained a conversation with Fulmer and Pruitt after all that went down was a minor miracle.

Who cares? UGA is going to destroy both of us anyway. Gators are least of our worries anymore. Georgia has become my most hated team. Horrible fans, and now that the are somewhat relevant that puts them over the top. Uncle lou is one of their better fans and that says alot.
Uncle lou? Ohhh boy...:):thud:

what did you expect, and why?

I expected the month of January to be more productive, honestly. Pruitt and staff did a great job pulling some JuCo prospects in December, and I thought, with the entire month of January, he would be a closer and a finisher. This recruiting class did not finish well. It felt more like we were trying to hold on for dear life with the few guys we had pulled, like Peterson and Young.

I expected him to be able to hold onto Jordan Young.
I expected him to attract more HS talent on defense. Peterson is a HUGE get, but outside of him, felt like we pretty much struck out on defense in January.

Honest question: did this staff and recruiting class meet or surpass your expectations?

Welcome to the Georgia hate train, we are filling up fast.

Yes not good at all.....makes me happy tho....misery loves company

How so? UF has only missed on one guy projected to UF:Boykin(ND) Copeland will be the second.

NPF was a ND vs tOSU battle that new staff got in the mix late.

Staff didn't send Tannor a LOI.

Silvera was never happening. I guess some bought into the chatter of him flipping.

UF day looks bad because Taggart definitely killed it. But Im not telling you anything you didn't know.

New Update on Copeland: Just talked to someone connected at Alabama. Despite missing on Ross, the Tide are not confident that they'll land Copeland. Florida remains the most likely destination, but Tennessee continues to work JC roughly 45 minutes before his announcement.

Did Dooley follow up the worst season and most pathetic coach search in UT history?

:dunno:

Sadly I have to agree we get slaughtered but never know man

UF is loaded on offense and returns an OL for 3rd year plus adding some good pieces and big time tenasfer Jean Delance

WR, RB, and TE will be so much more talent then Mullen ever had on campus at UF

I’m hoping for a spurrier when he comes in from Duke reaction where the talent amazes him lol and he makes the the climb is far tougher lol and Mullen is far from proven he can carry spurrier clip board

It truly is leaps and bounds better then what he ever had at MSU and a lot of diverse talent at skill positions

Haha. Bias much? You have no clue what you have at QB. And your DL has no depth imo.

Met.

Too many are discounting the confusion created by the Armageddon like mess in November/early December. That left an indelible mark on the minds of many recruits, and more importantly their families. UT Brand fell far. Combine that with 4-8; and 0-8 in SEC. Many of these top tier guys aren't looking for a 4 year deal, they are looking for 2 or 3 years and then declare early. So the window is shorter. This is not 2013 or 2009. Kids want to win now and they don't want uncertainty.

I got caught up in the names as much as anyone. So its disappointing to see them going elsewhere. But this is the reality check we needed. We will rise again - but it will not be overnight. Too big of a whole was dug. Let's stop digging it deeper with all of the whining.

Hate to agree, but this is 100% spot on imo. Got out to a great start in December for the early signing period....I assumed they’d gain great momentum and finish top 12-15 with some big gets.....instead we’re crawling to the finish line and reaching left and right for some lowly rated players with athletic potential. Perhaps I shouldn’t have, but I really expected a much, much stronger finish.
