Thankfully the Negavols are shrinking in numbers. I know you guys will always find something to gripe about but at least there is less now. Currently we are getting lots of complaints about clear bags; fees to have tickets shipped to a new address and the Feb 2017 signing class in July.

One thing I think is going on is I believe the lure of playing in the SEC has lost it's luster. Not because it's not the best conference. Many of these players think the only way to play for a National Championship or at least get into the playoff in the SEC is to play for Bama. Many don't want to play for Saban or are not recruited by Bama so the easier route is to play in the ACC for Clemson or FSU or to play in the Big10 for OSU. Let's face it, until someone knocks off Bama (not talking individual games, but conference championships) it's in reality a one horse conference.

You just have to look past the fog, Newt. I just hope this season goes well. Otherwise it will be unbearable. There will literally be no place to hide.

What do you expect when you lose a recruit like Emory Jones…I don't know what it is going to take for people to realize that Butch has just completely lost his ability to recruit elite players. He can't even hang on to the ones that were strong leans anymore. Losing Higgins, Gibbs, Lawrence, and Jones is inexcusable. I personally like Butch but I can't just stick my head in the sand. He is not getting the job done.

It's 18 months until he signs. It ain't over. He and OSU are going steady. There are two seasons of football left before he signs. Meyer may get heart palpitations again. Michigan may dominate him and he seeks psychiatric help. So many things can happen.

Yes indeed.
It's definitely not that recruits are leaning towards teams with 10+ wins, no, it's because Jones fell asleep one night knowing how to recruit but woke up and forgot.

It's like when a teacher thinks it's funny to give a gimme question
"What color is the red wagon?"
And yet 30% of the class answers incorrectly.
Today has thrown a very bright light on VN's 30%.

Is that the excuse for the day? That recruits don't want to come here because we didn't win 10 games? Did it matter in 2014 and 2015? No of course it didn't, we had great classes those years and were not even close to winning 10 games. Obviously something has changed and Butch is now on the outside looking in until he figures it out.

I don't think this one is over but it definitely sucks to strike out with Jones & Lawrence, especially since we led for both at one point. Remember these kids are still rising sophomores. Still a lot of football to be played, some good QBs out there still, Butch still has plenty of options.

It's funny but the guy responsible for recruiting is also the guy responsible for winning. He's got no one but himself to blame for that weak sauce 4th quarter coaching last year.

No, it's because you are either selling hopes and playing time, or wins.
We will either fail or win big and have a great future.
But God forbid, people like you stop beating your forehead with your own tongue long enough to see the answer.

No, that would require you to STFU long enough to see which way it goes.
