I'm really happy with the two quarterbacks we have committed, so I don't really care where he goes. Georgia always has quarteback talent, and we still compete with them. He should go to FSU though. They're a perennial contender in their conference. They have had multiple quarterbacks drafted in the first round over the past decade under Fisher. They have had a lot of success with quarterbacks with similar skill sets to Fields. This is a no brainer if there's ever been one.

One of the mistakes people make during recruiting is overvaluing the guy who is close to a finished product while undervaluing the guy who is not even close to reaching his ceiling. If you look at Justin Fields' build, he's already 225 lbs. He's rock solid. He look ready to play right now. I don't see much of an upside in him long term from a physical point of view. This is why I said earlier he reminds me of Brett Hundley.
Compare that to Adrian Martinez who physically looks to be no where close to his ceiling. His build is very similar to Josh Dobbs coming out of his high school. I think Martinez has a higher ceiling. He might not be better than Justin Fields right now but I believe he has the higher ceiling long term. Especially when he grows into his body. He reminds me in many ways of Dobbs. I firmly believe we have the best QB in the nation committed to us right now. I would take him over Justin Fields, Emory Jones, and Trevor Lawrence if I had the choice.

D4H i am lost on your twisted theory. Fields is elite and even at 225 will get in a college s/c and grow more. His skillset is already top notched. That will get better, ala Cam Newton or Peyton Manning. I like Martinez and saw him in person, and I'll say this it takes a lot to be athletically like Josh Dobbs. I think Martinez compares more to JG in many ways. Also i really don't think Trevor would fit UT at all, but he's definitely better than Martinez. Jones and Fields are both better athletically and Fields as a qb over all. As for Martinez I love his syle and skillset, and I could see him being really good if he's patient and waits his turn behind JG.
First of all he's only 6'2", he ain't getting much bigger than 225 lbs. Also I never said he was not skilled. Brett Hundley is an NFL QB after all. I just don't like him as much as I like Martinez. I think Martinez has the higher CEILING. Right now, Fields is better because his body is closer to its peak but once Martinez adds some weight on his frame, he's gonna be special. I believe he'll be better than Fields, Jones, and Lawrence.

So because we didn't grovel to a sophmore QB that was not really on anyone's radar we missed out? We may have been the first to offer out of the SEC, and then everyone else came calling. The father seems a little Lavar Ball'esque to me.
