Fields is good, but I like how Lawrence just "Drops it in the Bucket". It was something that attracted him to UT when he was committed to us. That something still exists, the staff just needs to recapture that and expound on it with the new QB Coach in Canales. He's a better QB Coach than Streeter anyway.

The parents are Tennessee grads; Trevor has been raised as a Tennessee legacy. Butch did not go "all in" for Trevor, in fact was very low key in the in-home meeting. Turned off the Lawrence family completely. All Butch had to do was tell Trevor and family he was needed. Trevor is not headed to Knoxville.

Butch wanted Emory Jones, and thought he had him, but he got played. They should have known the kid was gonna be a bucknut as soon as Urbs offered him. That was a dumb mistake by somebody. I wonder though if EJ downplayed his love for Ohio St to them?

Well, I don't know exactly what you meant by that theory, or what he said to the coaches, but absent anything remarkable that we don't know, I highly doubt UT got "played" here.

I'm almost positive that Butch can't go in-home with a Junior. That being said, people can feel if they aren't the number 1 target.
