The only context I need is a Tennessee incoming signee happily singing “f*** Tennessee” on a video. How about you provide the context, any context, where that’s a good thing and “isn’t as it seems”. Go ahead, we’re all waiting.

I care about the program, my Alma Mater, and the kids that are 100% committed to giving everything they have to making our broken program a winner again. I couldn’t care less about 1 punk kid who has no respect for the program and his future teammates, just like I couldn’t care less about our former fraud of a head coach who just ran the program into the ditch. It’s about the program, which is much, much bigger than one player or one coach.

And for some odd reason, I just have a difficult time believing some 18 year old young man merrily singing “f*** Tennessee” on a social media platform is a great addition to the program....especially when he’s a marginal, developmental project who will never likely see a meaningful snap at Tennessee.

Not bothering with yer silly personal attacks but as far as context, one possible scenario mentioned was he lost a bet. Who knows though. Okay that's all. You can go back to attacking the character of someone you don't know. The fact that you point out his perceived lack of value as a player is telling. If he was a star you'd be making excuses for him. Exactly, according to guys like this, the only people who are ‘athletic’ are those who play sports that they follow. It amuses me when guys speak definitively about sports they have never experienced themselves. Would love to see this guy walk through the door and announce none of the people training were athletes. Imho, with the way this staff has jumped out of the gate recruiting, they’ll have much better OL options than a 260 lb project who’ll never be trusted by a majority of his teammates . I think the only reason he wasn’t told to look elsewhere before is because he’s an instate kid from Ensworth and that this little episode gives JP a very good excuse to do what he likely would’ve done previously were TA not from Nashville.

Again, just a healthy difference of opinion here Butchy old pal.

He signed to represent the vols this season, no chance he is “released” without major backlash! Upside alone he is a better prospect than Ollie Lane, Lane is going to be limited by his frame and ability to gain good weight... Tanner is already a lean 270 with good footwork and frame to grow. I think he has Aaron Douglas potential and athletic ability.

Yeah our coaches won’t make personnel decisions based off emotions either. I’m sure Tanner will be talked to regarding the video but all in all he wouldn’t have signed with us and Pruitt wouldn’t have had him sign if he wasn’t a recruit we thought could contribute. People *****ing and turning on him because of a lapse in judgement aren’t looking at this as it is.... a business

Think of it like this... I’m a Chevy car salesman, very successful for my dealership but just bought a Lexus... the Chevy dealer is not going to fire me for buying the Lexus cause I’m making them a ton of money.

This thread...you guys cannot truly believe a kids future should be impacted because of this video...can you? Khalil was questioned on twitter for wearing USC gear supporting his brother. Fans are bat @&@& crazy. Let these young men live their lives. It was a dumb thing to do and have it on video, but not anything to get crazy about.

Maybe not "crazy" about, but certainly most have had valid opinions about his actions and consequences.

You are forgetting Tanner is being given a full ride plus all the benefits that come with football (clothes, medical, food, etc) and to not just be a little unappreciative, but to use that kind of language when bad mouth that school.
