'18 TN OL Tanner Antonutti (UT signee)

Why? Has he given any indication that he doesn't like tennessee? Do you think every other thing he's said about tennessee, all positive things from what I've seen, has been fake and he secretly hates his state and his school and you personally? Okay that's not fair, we know he hates you. Haha. I just don't see it having any meaning other than singing along with his buddies. But hey, people say things all the time that may unintentionally offend others and have to apologize for it. So if he feels he needs to make a public apology then good for him. Other than that his teammates can decide if they need retribution and I don't need to know about it.

He new exactly what he was singing. He new it was being recorded.

Pretty damn dumb thing for a recent signee to be doing.

Doesn't get a pass.

Hahahahaha I just picture tanner scrolling thru twitter and seeing "hey StoVol on volnation said f you. What are you gonna do about it?"

Hahahaha

What if Sto set up an entire "F Tanner Antonutti" profile. And then tried to get him to follow.

That be even better me thinks.

Dumb. Sure. He's guilty of being dumb I guess if that's what you mean by not being innocent. Dumb doesn't equal bad person to me. Maybe he will learn to be less dumb after this. Maybe he will become a good player and some of the people who want him to lose his scholarship because "he's a project anyway", for doing something dumb will find it in their hearts to forgive him.

"This statement offends me and the person making it needs to publicly apologize to me."

I hear that crap in politics, in media, and in business. The PC nature of it turns my stomach. I find it quite childish. If your feelings are so hurt and your demands for apology are this strident, you probably should not be on the internet. Or in adult company for tnat matter. Yall need to let this go. You look like a bunch of snowflakes.

If he chooses to apologize, accept it or don't. But demanding an apology from someone you don't even know is the stuff of little girls and self absorbed spoiled brats.

I agree with yer point but it was a little aggressive. I will be in my safe space recuperating for a bit. Talk amongst yerselves.

Hope you didn't pull anything reaching for that narrative. I thought it was a well written yelp review. I appreciate yer right to consume these young men beating each other up and yer right to voice an opinion about their singing ability. But the point of the post you quoted, I believe, was intended to show how hypocritical that opinion may sound. Thanks for the economy lesson though. Real informative.
Pull anything? Nah, I’m not a Tennessee Football player. :)

Fans boo their team all the time, are those fans hypocrites? :whistling:

Glad you didn't pull anything. I was worried when you didn’t respond for a while. Hahaha

Fans booing their team is not hypocritical. Fans getting upset that a prospect and by all accounts, fellow fan, said the same thing you admitted to saying can come off as hypocritical. Maybe it's not but this is all about perception being reality right?

I agree but the level of said investment shows just how much the university benefits from these players.

Right, the university. Not millionaire athletes or billionaire owners, but a university...a not-for-profit public institution, which uses profits (in large part from donations) to provide educations to many others who could not afford it. Yet the OP called it a racket, and compared it to the NFL. Just no.
