Yep...and he is engaged to a fellow graduate he met there. They have a titanic debt load between them...but that degree opens some pretty high paying doors. The dumb thing is he wants to continue in prosecution. He has interned with the Rutherford DA the last year. I told him he was crazy to go that route. I know prosecution makes nothing like defense. He has worked a few trials though, and his boss told him he is a natural trial lawyer.

Good for him. I don't think I could be a defense lawyer.

He may get his entire student loan debt forgiven if he stays long enough at that job. I'm sure he knows that, but should you tell him to look into it. Sometimes I wish I had when I stroke that $900 check every month. Haha.

He really wants to move back home to the Knoxville area. He is a big time mommas boy, not in the little whiny puss way, but he is really close to mom and dad, and wants to be closer to them, but he's not sure what he is going to do yet, the DAs office wants him to stay on assuming he passes the bar.

I understand that for our system to work there has to be defense attorneys, I just don't think I could handle defending someone I thought was guilty.

That's also exactly he he feels. He is a extremely ethical young man. I'm really proud of him. He holds the people he works with in the DAs office in pretty high esteem. He says they are honest people.

It may as well be. There are also med schools in Greenville and a brand new one in Columbia

Also wrong. There is a school in Columbia that's been around for a while and a brand new one in Greenville. On the USC ads they claim 2 medical schools. As of one month ago MUSC launched a partnership with Clemson but it is still an indpendent university.

Right but people in columbia try to push you to one of the three instate schools. It's not an official affiliation but the ties are very close.

The guy Taylor reminded me of, when I first saw him, was Peter Warrick. If he's half of that, he and Martinez will give us a lot to enjoy. This class has some championship caliber pieces. Imo

Man I thought Warrick was gonna kill it in the NFL. Hope Alontae is that good.

Rivals 3 Stripe Camp St. Louis: Recruiting news and notes

The Tennessee Volunteers were well represented on Sunday as several commits participated in the event. Among them was Taylor, who said he continues to work at building adding more top players to the school’s class. His close friend Brendon Harris committed to the Vols on Friday and now he said he’s focused on defensive linemen Greg Emerson and D’Andre Litaker. Taylor predicted both will end up in the fold with the Vols sooner rather than later.

Rivals 3 Stripe Camp St. Louis: Awards

Rivals250 athlete and Tennessee commitment Alontae Taylor punched his ticket to the Five-Star Challenge after a very impressive showing. Taylor has transitioned from a quarterback at the start of his career to a very polished wide receiver, and what’s scary for defenders is it still looks like he’s got plenty of room to continue to improve going forward.

Beast. For some reason ESPN is the only site showing him the respect he deserves. I'm betting that will change once he participates in more of these camps

Gotchya. Worried that SC's offense is going to light it up this year and be enough to draw him to Columbia. Their receiving core is very deep and talented and Bentley is going to put up big numbers if their offensive line can be just mediocre

UT has the talent at QB and WR as well, and if the OL is solid the offense should out up big numbers. That should keep him committed to UT.

From Rivals:

ATH Alontae Tayor

Recruiting wrap: Taylor is committed to Tennessee.

Performance: Taylor was so impressive that he almost made getting open look effortless, even when battling the event’s top defensive backs. Taylor’s progression from year to year has been very impressive and the more comfortable he becomes as a wide receiver, the better he seems to perform.

This dude may end up a 5 star. Signing day needs to hurry up, don't want to lose him
