lmao Dude, I already said guns are the weapon of choice because they're easier. We all know that. But outlawing guns would not stop these mass killings. Crazy people would just find different methods. Do you even realize how many everyday items can be turned into explosives? How easy it is to trap people and set fires? That knives can be just as effective as guns? You, and most liberals, ignore that the problem is the people who commit these acts, not the instruments they use to commit these acts. There was nothing to indicate that this was any type of hostage situation... and when the hell has anyone taken hostages with a ball bat?
Look, I'm tired of this discussion. It seems really stupid to me, that you would argue such a thing. There is a reason that guns are the primary weapon of choice in crimes similar to what happened in Uvalde, Texas.... instead of baseball bats. They are more effective when it comes to killing large amounts of people in a brief period of time. You let me know the next time we have a bat swinging massacre in a school.
You guys get very defensive when it comes to guns ... and you will argue ridiculous things.
Oh, and btw, just a little FYI, I don't even own a gun. Never have, and really don't have any intention to. But I can easily recognize that guns are NOT the problem. There was nothing to indicate that this was any type of hostage situation... and when the hell has anyone taken hostages with a ball bat?

It's not kind of sad, it's especially sad considering his own issues.lmao Dude, I already said guns are the weapon of choice because they're easier. We all know that. You refuse to see logic, then try to belittle the intelligence of others. It's kind of sad.
I have a lot of respect for LEOs, but at the same time these cowards in Uvalde are the same people the left want to have exclusive access to firearms. What gets me is that so many cops demand the respect and honor that military folks get, yet when the time comes to put up or shut up we get.... this.

I've seen your posts before. Such as Republicans and GOP are racist and now claiming all veterans have PTSD. Perhaps if you didn't make idiotic claims at times people might not challenge you on them. You don't get it. I didn't label any group. I am facing the reality that vets potentially suffer from PTSD and that restricting school security (and discriminating against everybody else) to vets is a small enough sampling of the population that you're asking for problems. In no way am I saying "don't hire vets." Don't worry about me "doing better". Worry about your reading comprehension.
It's not a gun issue. It's a societal issue.I absolutely am not advocating gun control with this statement, but there is significant historical and statistical data pointing to strict gun laws resulting in a dramatic drop in gun related deaths and even mass violence.
There's a reason why a knife carrying assailant in London made international news. Other G20 countries don't have these problems anywhere near the scale we do.
They also don't have the rampant mental health issues we do either, but that's another discussion altogether.
Most police shootings are within 5-10 feet of the suspect. Not everything is like you see in the moviesI'm sorry, but someone armed with a gun 21 feet away from a police officer is still more likely to kill that officer, than someone 21 feet away with a knife is.
As long as the police officer identifies the threat right away, that officer can take evasive action to increase his distance from the knife-wielding assailant, which can give the officer more time to deploy his own gun. Whereas close quarters wouldn't be needed for the assailant who is armed with a gun.
