NOTHING being spoken in that press conference was accurate information. How helpful was that press conference ever going to be in the first place? It was just one lie after another. It deserved to be interrupted.

This line which I placed in bold, is the only statement relevant to my point, which you have posted. If you had said this from the beginning, then there would have been no need for any other comments. Your childish need to get the last word in, is the only thing which is sad, as well as your desire to debate matters which aren't even being contested.

  • I never said one word about "outlawing guns."
  • I never said one word about other means of lethal force, including "explosives" or different methods, not being able to also kill a large group of school children.
  • The one and only thing which I have objected to, is the assertion that a baseball bat would have been just as efficient a weapon in the murders of the children at Robb Elementary in Uvalde, Texas, as an AR 15 style rifle was. My posts have been specific to that one and only claim from Donald Trump Jr. Your posts have frequently been irrelevant to anything which I had previously posted.
You have stubbornly persisted in trying to change the subject away from the point of my initial post :

The point of my initial post only concerned a video, which Donald Trump Jr. posted to Facebook, in which he claimed that a baseball bat would have yielded the exact same results (or worse) as what an AR 15 style rifle had done. The harder I have tried to stick to that topic, the more you have tried to shift the discussion away to other considerations, which you would rather be arguing.

We know Jimmy! It’s been covered and Abbott has acknowledged he was given bad information and he was more pissed than anyone else. Thanks again Jimmy this is about the third or fourth time I’ve brought up Abbott already acknowledged that and you just ignored it again!

We make exceptions for such abhorrent personalities as Gov. Greg "Wonder Wheels" Abbott. These attacks have become a common occurrence in Texas. There is nothing to indicate that he has helped at all.

Abbott is only good for identifying what the problem of mass shootings doesn't include (guns), and what the solutions to mass shootings shouldn't involve (restrictions on gun access). He never offers any new ideas for how to put a stop to these catastrophic events. He just recycles the same old already-been-tried, but-failed-miserably, post-shooting Republican Party talking points.

He is easily the worst governor in the country.

A gun is the easiest option. Other options can be just as efficient, even a baseball bat.

If we were talking larger numbers in an open environment, you'd be correct. But we're talking about a crowd of mostly children in a locked classroom. Efficiency varies by the situation. In this situation, a baseball bat could potentially be just as efficient.

But nothing I say is going to change your opinion.

That is pure stupidity.

When the weapon of choice is just a blunt instrument, where killing can only be done in close quarters, there is much more likely to be successful intervention prior to the deaths of 21 people, than will be the case with a gun. A bat will never be as efficient as an AR 15 style rifle.
