Okay, but what has he done to help prevent them from happening? These shootings clearly represent an ongoing problem in the state of Texas. They are continuing to occur, at an alarming rate. Republicans would definitely be blaming a Democratic Party Governor of Illinois for these shootings, if such mass shooting incidents had occurred in Chicago, instead of in Texas. There shouldn't be any question about that.

Perhaps you should look into shootings in Chicago. This would have been just another Wednesday there.

I think if you read the context of that comment you'd see it was in response to BB85's assertion that if this happened in a D state then D governors would be blamed. As AV123 pointed out that didn't happen in the listed examples.
