19 students, 3 adults dead in Texas elementary shooting.

We were making those decisions, I never worried about it while I was in school … not once . Now let’s go back and figure out where we started straying away from those decisions . Should be an easy fix .

Several things can be done. A good start might be to limit magazine capacity to seventeen. I favor a ban on production and sale of high capacity, self loading rifles. I've owned a few good ones that I enjoyed shooting, but I do just fine without them. The reality is that a percentage of Americans lack the mental integrity to own such weapons without committing mass murder. They make us less secure, not more secure, and they are not necessary for the security of a free state. Taking them off the market probably would stop most of such terrible crimes. It would definitely reduce the number of victims and eliminate the disadvantage an officer with a hand gun experiences when confronting a shooter with an semi-automatic, high capacity rifle.

Don’t know the validity of this but supposedly the back door of the school was unlocked and normally it is. If true how did this guy know to go directly to the back door and that it and a nearby classroom would be unlocked?
I think you're thinking too much.

Since everyone is so concerned about guns at the NRA convention. You’re welcome.

Guns are banned during Trump's upcoming speech at the NRA conference — NPR

According to the NRA, the Secret Service is taking control of the hall during Trump's speech and is prohibiting attendees from having firearms, firearms accessories and knives. Ammunition, laser pointers, pepper spray, toy guns, backpacks and other items also won't be allowed.

The Secret Service will search attendees with magnetometers before they enter the hall, the NRA said.

This isn't the first time firearms have been off-limits during a part of the gun group's annual convention. In 2018 a similar prohibition was put in place during a speech by then-Vice President Mike Pence.

Thanks again on agreeing with me that A) LaPierre needs to go and B) I was right on your conflation of why guns were not allowed at the convention during Trump’s speech.

Lol. Blaming the NRA now. Typical liberal idiocy.

As far as "B" is concerned, you must be confusing me with another poster. I never said a word about guns not being allowed at an NRA convention. Having never been to an assembly of "The Unwashed," I wouldn't be in a position to know anything concerning decorum, nor would I care, anyway.

Not only am I a wizard, I must be a prophet - clearly Tucker was reading my statements here for his opening monologue.
1980 household guns - 45%
2021 household with guns - 32%

Yet antidpressant use in the young has gone up 3000% since 1990
social media and screen use has disconnected people from others
