Yeah it makes no sense. When I was in school not too long ago, if something happened within x miles of the school we would be put on a soft lockdown which was all doors locked, no students outside unless it had to happen ( we had to go outside to get to the cafeteria) and if we did go staff had to go with us, They would also have teachers in their planning periods sit at certain entrance points in case anything happened or anyone tried to come in.If there was a 14 minute gap between the 911 call of a shooter at the Funeral Home which is just a couple-3 hundred feet away from the school and the doors weren't locked within those 14 minutes before he entered the school, yeah someone screwed up big time.
It's like saying I have a new drug for cancer. It'll cure one of you for every five it kills. Should we authorize that drug?
I have a lot of questions about this.Yeah seriously, how does an unemployed, loser EMO teen about to fail HS, find the cash to buy those guns + a backpack full of ammo? He also supposedly had a handgun at the shooting. Where did he get money to buy all of this? Doesn't seem like it was his parents. Something doesn't add up here.

People dont understand how stupid this is. I get parents want to go in and rescue their kids, its instinct every decent parent would, but the last thing police need in a situation like that is for a bunch of un armed parents getting in the way and just becoming human shields for the shooter. Its better that they were kept away.Well, at least the authorities detained SOMEONE during the shooting
Uvalde mom: The feds cuffed me when I begged cops to go in and confront the shooter
Guess his heart just couldn't contend with all that second amendment freedom bestowed upon his wife. Well, all least their orphaned kids will go up recognizing the wonderful freedom they have to bear arms. You never know when you're gonna be faced with a pack of feral hogs and you'll need an AR-15 to blast your way out.
It was reported he stole the truck from his grandmother.so he is working 5 hrs per day, 5 days a week (per article) - after tax take is max around $300-$350 (if making $15 per hr). So figure about $5-6k total for the gear and ammo thats working 4-5 straight months not spending on anything else. Did he pay for the truck or was it given to him?
Still doesn't really add up money wise.
I can't even begin to imagine being a parent outside of that school, knowing my child might be inside, dead. I'd lose my mind.People dont understand how stupid this is. And the proper way to do that is to HANDCUFF the parents? If you read the article, they actually TAZED a dad who came to ask about his child.People dont understand how stupid this is. "We're investigating the mass murder we didn't try and stop". That's some propaganda level non-sense. Facts are not even out yet.
I mean at least 3 of the cops did try and stop it, as they killed him or were shot.
Also I'd like to see the full quote and context. Nothing he said was outrageous or undermining the children's deaths. Now Obama on the other hand...
drugs are outlawed but still readily available and actively used daily....killing millionsCars result in deaths, sometimes intentionally. The societal benefits of having cars far outweigh those deaths. Ditto with phones, fishing gear, etc. That's not true with guns. The mischief done with guns far outweighs any benefits they have. What you basically have to argue is that we as a society will not deprive you of a tool to defend your life, even though making that tool widely available will result in a much larger number of unjustified deaths. You should just own that argument.

How was said parent acting, were the irate? trying to get through a barrier? assaulting a cop? The only thing letting parents through does is muddy the situation and add to the body count. And the proper way to do that is to HANDCUFF the parents? Maybe if the police would have actually neutralized the shooter in the 40 To 60 minutes they appear to have stood around then maybe the parents wouldn’t have NEEDED to get agitated????How was said parent acting, were the irate? trying to get through a barrier? assaulting a cop? I understand why people were acting the way they do, it happens in every major traumatic situation, but what honestly do you think would happen if the police let them rush the school? They just become easy targets for the shooter.
SIAP but Obama should be embarrassed but you know he's not. Lumping the murder of kids in with George Floyd of all people. The people neo-liberals worship.
This really what social media has done to society. Do you think if he had gone down to talk to people in Uvalde that he would've told them to give a moment of silence to think of George Floyd as well.
This was talked about last night how the left continues to squeeze juice from this turnip.
