It is not disingenuous. Teaching is a job like anything else and I know few people that work for free. It is indeed disingenuous to insulate that teachers are on some holy plateau because they teach and to hide behind that as insulation to criticism. If teachers should be paid more, what is the amount. What should the monthly check say. Name your price man.
These horrific events are different than most topics with me, even moreso when children and their teachers have been murdered. I can understand that people have differing views over gun control and how it plays into these tragedies, but using them for "and George Floyd" or "but Obama" strike a nerve.
I’ve always known you weren’t very smart by your posting style but this is next level stupidity and quite frankly as sick as the SOB that did it. You should be ashamed and after reading the posts of you and your like minded friends, I’ll always remember you all as the scum of VN
I think we have a category disagreement. Capitalism (free market) is not purchasing favors and influence from politicians to maintain a monopoly. That is called fascism. Fascism is the merger of corporate and state. But I agree with you that it is wrong and it will never be fixed by either entity. You're steering this away from my thesis. Let's course correct.
Education profiteers are individuals and corporations that take reasonable capitalism to an excessive level for the purpose of making as much profit as possible regardless the quality or veracity of their product.
Take Pearson, for example. They supply tests for many states. They also supply textbooks at a slightly higher price than the alternatives that not closely align to the tests. Then they have additional progress tracking online tests that work on subscriptions. I can go on.
There's a huge difference between gainful employment and trying to suck state coffers dry to satisfy vulture capitalists.
Yes, HATRED needs to be addressed. Our current POTUS ran on a platform of unity and I’ve seen nothing to address thisSure it is. It's the one thing in common between race based shootings like Buffalo, loner depressed shootings like Texas, anti gay shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, and drug dealer shootings in Chicago.
It is THE problem. It must be addressed.

What is "the main culprit" then? Most of the time when someone shifts the discussion away from the ease of firearm access, it's toward nothing else, as this post did.Nope, that’s not the main culprit.

I posted this earlier and like always you ignore the logic. I have also outlined in detail several times in this thread what I believe to be the main culprits and yep, you ignored those also. What is "the main culprit" then? The United States is not the only country in the world that has a large population of mentally ill citizens.
The United States is not the only country in the world with high amounts of gang-related and drug-related violence.
The United States is not the only country in the world that has large metropolitan areas with high crime rates.
The United States is the only country in the world where a shooting spree targeting children while they're in school occurs on an annual basis.
You like to tell us what isn't the problem. How about telling us what is the problem? The United States obviously has one.
Access to guns can’t be the main culprit since access to guns was even easier 3 decades ago and these events were almost unheard of. That fact destroys your argument.
Now if we had eased access instead of placed more barriers and mass shootings increased you would have a plausible argument. It’s science.
^^^^ That doesn't identify "the main culprit" .... You say you are going to identify what it is, but then you never actually do it. You just continue to shift discussion away from the ease of gun access. You never get into specifics concerning root causes.I posted this earlier and like always you ignore the logic. Who knows? Between @luthervol calling the kids a necessary sacrifice, @evillawyer making a mockery of of the man and his children that died of heart attack and @lawgator1 having fun with sick cartoons? There is no “low” to them because they are already the gum you stepped in on the bottom of your shoe. It makes me wish there were a true purge so just one day a year they can feel what these people felt and learn the hard way how much they would appreciate a gun at their disposal when it’s THEIR lives on the lineI wonder if he will be linking any cartoons depicting the millions of aborted lumps of cells arriving at the pearly gates since they are the party that has a heart for children? Asking for a friend

Key word is “he”. He could have used any platform and it wouldn’t have mattered if no one caught it in time. It is a logistical nightmare for program writers to put in all key words that someone who is crazy would use. We all use language we don’t mean literally and we would all be caught up in that security network of words that flags people.Maybe Facebook should bear some of the responsibility since he used their platform to reveal his plan and they did nothing.
