Well, we knew when we signed those two what we were getting and they are delivering. We need to go out and find some .300 hitters with 360+ OBP. I think Murton could be that type but he is still young. We will go after more HR hitters though. We need to get rid of Floyd and Jones though. Theriot needs to be the everyday 2B and we need to get rid of DeRosa and/or Cedeno. We just need a new SS at that.

Derosa has played ok. Cedeno,IMO, can be a star. He just needs playing time. Jones and Floyd are horrible, they gotta go.

That offspeed crap that Miller throws, will not work in Wrigley. The Cards destroyed it today.

Murton is gonna be good too. When is D-Lee gonna come around? He has 0 homeruns.

I don't care about HRs. I care about wins. Hitting HRs will come in Wrigley but we can't rely on that. Cedeno has to change his approach. He's reminding me of Corey Patterson. DeRosa is decent but I wouldn't have him in over Theriot. DeRosa is a utility man.

Yep Theriot is a good hitter. Cedeno is kinda like Patterson, i agree with ya there.

Can Pie be a decent player??

Pie has been very solid on defense. His offensive game should open up once he gets used to the majors. The problem is that he is like most of the Cubs and won't be a guy that will do whatever it takes to get on base. We have too many guys that K every other at bat. Pie may develop that but not right now. I think by mid-season our team will look like this:
1B-Lee
2B-Theriot
SS-Izturis(maybe we can trade for a decent SS)
3B-Aram
C-Barrett
LF-Murton
CF-Pie
RF-Soriano

SP-Zambrano
SP-Lilly
SP-Hill
SP-Marquis
SP-Guzman/Marmol/Prior

I think we will do something with Jones or Floyd and Ohman/Miller will be gone. We may also see another bullpenner moved down or out. I think one of the OFs listed will be a primary backup(maybe both but doubtful) and DeRosa/Ward/Blanco will be the backups. Cedeno might get sent back down.

Finally a win. Lilly was solid yet again. The offense really opened up with Lee(4), Floyd(4), Theriot(2), Barrett(2), and Pie(2) getting multiple hits. Lee finally hit a HR this year.

Okay, let's keep the momentum going tonight. Marquis has been pitching very well and Reyes has been sucking for the Cards.

Kept the streak going. Z gave up a HR to Poopholes, but was solid other than that and our offense took advantage of a 1 inning lapse.

Ahhh, cry me a river. I'm sure he's been called worse and I'm sure he can dry his tears with wads of hundreds if it gets to him.

Possibility for the sweep tonight. Hill is on the mound. Hopefully he returns to the form he had through the first 3 games.
